Oh if that's an option it would be awesome. I'd not heard that but let's hope it's true!If they are the "comes apart into a bunch of bits with 5mm ports" type figures that they're rumored to be, then they will be able to combine to SOME extent, at least. There might not be much in the way of an official combination, but that hasn't stopped anyone with the other similar lines, like the Junkions here:
At least Megatron will have different alt modes
That doesn't count because Murderbee/Flavortown Bee is a different character.
I can't believe how hard I'm swinging back and forth between "I don't want TM Megatron anymore. They blew it." and "I already need the rest of this insane combiner. Tis madness to halt midway in the monstrous."

it all depends on how compromised he is by the need to combine as well as the quality of the actual combination.
It can still work if it's compromised so far off the chart of being a TM Megatron that it lands on the chart of being some other thing.
The probable AI image on the slides reminds me a lot of Legacy Magmatron's Landsaur.
I'm leery of this AI leak stuff. But then I guess it's one way to obfuscate things in the event of leaks, not that that's super needed these days anyway. (This is definitely intriguing for, say, April Fools Day, but generating AI art I'm even more leery of.)

Yeah, hard to get worked up over probable AI images from a leaked retailer presentation. That said, with a new Indy-racer Mirage of some sort on deck, and the confirmed appearance of GoBots Megatron, I can’t help but wonder if the team has spychangers percolating.

And on the character note, we have already had the Machine Wars mold homage for Tow Line, I wonder if the Constructicon-ish ones are going to have those alternates planned, or would that be entirely different molds for the tow-truck Autobots? I never thought I'd be thinking back to staring at the Machine Wars boxes in Kaybee decades ago, wishing I'd had ten bucks. But I was then, and I am now, except it's more like a hundred bucks. Which I will probably reserve for Thunderwing, if I like what I see during the actual reveal. I am at the point where I am not going to be able to get much for both space and costs, so whatever I do will have to be in the 'really awesome' catagory.

I mean more that someone could just AI up a bunch of their own mockups and make them slightly blurry and janky and apply other familiar leak tropes. But yes, hopefully more character variety. (minimizes window with CoffeeHorse's "Til All Are Grandus" project)
Big caveats here since a lot of these leaks are AI or otherwise not indicative of final products...
While the sandbox approach to Gens won't be in full swing until 2028, it is encouraging to see less Sunbow referential stuff here. Mirage, Nightbird, and Scorpy are all clearly their G1 selves but they seem more stylized, which is fun.
GB and MW Megatron look very cool. We don't have a good look at G2 Megatron, and TM Megs looks like they may have missed the mark... but I'm at the very least getting the two legs. If G2 Megatron is properly cool then I might cave on TM Megatron just to complete the combiner.
Lugnut looks cool for Animated fans, but I'll stick with RtS for now.
Thunderwing looks like he could be cool. Titans are a hard sell. I broke my "no Titans" rule for Star Convoy so... we'll see.
SS '86 Astrotrain in Japanese toy colours? I may bite. The mockups of the mould in toy colours really worked for me.
