The rumor is it's the same mold, just one is G1 grey and black and the other is G2 Green/Purple, correct? So it's not really that they designed two different figures that could swap in and out, it's just that it's the same toy in different colors, so naturally you could use either one.

This latest description sounds more like the existence of Guzzle, whom you can substitute for Brawl in your Bruticus if for some reason you feel so inclined.

(Which does seem to contradict the previous description, which sounded more like what you said.)

The color scheme for this is gonna be crazy. We go from having somewhat neutral grey/silver and teal legs to a hodgepodge of copper, purple camo and neon green.

Gonna be significantly smaller than the frame combiners but I don’t mind. How TM Megs turns out will be the biggest factor for me.

Sounds like visual leaks are going to be under massive grains of salt for the time being; meaning stuff like Scorponok going from Energon to IDW/Botcon hybrid or how based on the Kingdom mold TM Megatron is could be accurate, inaccurate or who the hell knows.

The thing is that JT's "leaks" that the new TM1 Megatron was just a retooled Kingdom Megatron and that the new Scorponok was going to be some sort of of BotCon/IDW hybrid was based on art. Be that AI generated art or real art, it was art. Not images of the figures themselves.

I say that because... do you all remember that AotP mural that depicted Nexus in his IDW and Aligned body and Star Convoy as a weird Star Convoy/Powermaster hybrid? The art can be wrong. Be it inaccurate AI placeholder stuff or just art based on concepts that may have been planned until ideas changed, "I saw the art" shouldn't be taken as definitive.

I just chalked it up to somebody seeing the design and then a game of telephone happens, aside from random people making crap up or spreading crap somebody else made up. These leaks are cool and fun to discuss and speculate but I never actually take any of them seriously.

TBH, I don't care what slop they're showing off to retailers. Those suits probably don't really care either.

The only areas I really care about are the packaging art, and the stock photography. The stock photography gives us an idea of what the figure would be and should be accurate.
And while I discard most of my packaging, I'd still like it if it used real art made by people.

But if they need to mock up something to give a retail rep a general idea of what a figure will be? I don't really care either.
