Getting hard to fit them all in one picture. I really hadn't intended to go full completionist on this mold. I like it, so I kept getting new and improved versions, bought one or two in boxsets with other stuff I wanted, and randomly found the cel-shaded one on clearance at Walmart.

Now there's an evil little part of me that kinda hopes AoE G2 Megatron is just ER Megatron in purple. 😆

Will the REAL Megatron please step forward!!

In 2004 I picked up the "Transformers: The Ultimate Guide" with the intention of gett folks involved with TF to sign it, starting with OTFCC 2004 mere weeks from when I got the book.

Then at Botcon 2006 I got to get Peter Cullen to sign it. Then years (YEARS) later I started a gallery in my face book showing the autographs I got, along with relevant pieces from my collection. In this case, 2006/7 Pepsi Prime that I won (of 3) from the Pepsi/Mountain Dew sweepstakes in conjunction with the 2007 movie.

While Peter was signing the book, a member of the convention staff snapped a picture and it was used in the brochure for the 2007 convention.

At the 2007 Botcon I got him to sign the Powermaster Optimus Prime entry.

Then, in Salt Lake in 2021, I added the Ironhide entry from the Guide

, and most of his entries in "The Ark" (and in the "G.I. Joe Field Manuals"). Some I got at later TFCons.

Then a copy of "The Art of Transformers: Prime", at great cost as I didn't get it when it came out.

So jealous. My local stores have started getting the Ultimates in, but it's always nothing but Hounds by the time I find them.

I've got an order in at EE for Spino-wave and Pirate Scourge, bit I'd happily cancel those if I ran across them in the wild.

And I just got shipping notification for them. Sorry, physical stores. You had your chance and you blew it.

Oh, thank goodness. I thought maybe people somehow misunderstood the prompt...

Forgot who I was chatting with in this thread couple weeks ago, but they mentioned it was probably hubris re: the Hasbro designers releasing all-translucent plastic and glittery TFs gaslighting us into thinking we’re wrong about how fragile they can be. Welp, you were right - it’s 100% hubris.

Because just transforming Ghost Optimus Prime here once (ONCE!) into var mode and back again, and the little tabs in the ankles already broke. Plus he feels and handles just as jankily fragile as any of my other Ghost/Holigram figures - creakiness and joints looseness and all. 😒

I still believe what the wiki says about GPS being only confined to brown plastics with gold swirls in them, as that’s held true for other sparkly TFs I’ve had. But I’ll def be keeping an eye out on my Jem Blaster.😔

Idk if I'd go so far as to say gaslighting, but I think I did say hubris at one point. The ambition of trying again is great, but at current prices I don't think the gamble is really wise.

It's a real shame because that Vector Prime looks gorgeous. Weird black stripe in altmode aside -- wish they'd changed it up from the Legacy deco, as this still makes the front tip look glued on -- that color scheme was executed really well. He's the one they tried the new technique or whatever on, right? I really want to be tempted to get this because the finish looks great compared to the somewhat mustardy original. And somehow while the original looks like an upgrade or powered version of the standard Cybertron deco, this slightly different take looks distinct enough to be a new character. Might even be fudgeable for a Last Autobot repurposing. But I may wait and see how reports of the plastic go... And/or see if demand for this keeps it from even being available enough for me to even have that choice.

Sorry you had this happen. I'm now back to iffy on that Megatron depending on whether or not there are any similarly thin parts that might have similar problems.
