I wish DE Megatron was just the regular Siege mold, but otherwise he's just what I wanted.

Rodimus & Galvatron.jpg

I could really use some more space to spread them out more, but it gives the effect I was hoping for. If any of the Hasbro team sees this, I would absolutely find more space to add in an Energon Hot Rod and/or Rodimus!

Man, I don't even care that the color layout is wrong. That they went from the bright electric blue to that really sucks.

Sweet shelf; glad you completed them!

The nonsense over Starscream (regular retail where I am, in addition to being available through specialty stores) makes me worry about the inevitable inanity of the hunt for Swindle. (Doesn't help that Onslaught's initial availability has been a bit limited).

And, of course, the sheer cringe of the discourse that will surround it, with people making not having found a Swindle their whole personality, and others making having one their whole personality.

You're missing Octane. (Ducks)

But seriously, that looks great! I'm on the verge of 'completing' one of my own arrangements but I don't think anyone else would get it (among other things I replaced the Autobot Brothers with the Origins trio, Black Convoy is a ghost, and the Combaticons are going to be G1 colors because I preferred them).

I was targeting all the Decepticons we actually saw serving under Megatron's command during G1. I mean, we could assume every Decepticon served under him at some point, but just focusing on the ones we actually saw. So, all the '84-'85 toyline (including Reflector, since Takara did sell him in '85 even if Hasbro didn't), plus Menasor and Bruticus since they showed up in both the cartoon and comic, and Ratbat since he was there for the battle at Autobot City. I was tempted to try to fully include the comics too, since I think I'd only need to add Runabout and Runamuck to cover the US run, but I don't think I can fit even just those two in, much less guys like Octane from the UK run.

Oh, and I'm ignoring his Action Master revival. It really felt like a separate thing even at the time, the new AMs don't have matching modern updates, and I always head-cannoned the new-character AMs as being Gutcruncher's band of mercenaries that were working with Megatron, but weren't really his followers. My way of interpreting Gutcruncher's rank of 10.

Oh, ok, I misunderstood! And I'd honestly forgotten Octane didn't show up till quite a bit after the first two...
Octane was a 1986 toy. Blitzwing and Astrotrain were 1985, being Diaclone prototypes while Octane was a Transformers-original mold bigger than the other two.

All three of them did first show up together in the Marvel comics, but the comics were less synced to the individual year assortments than the cartoon was.

One more random pic from my fiddling this week.
Siege-Earthrise Megatrons.jpg

Getting hard to fit them all in one picture. I really hadn't intended to go full completionist on this mold. I like it, so I kept getting new and improved versions, bought one or two in boxsets with other stuff I wanted, and randomly found the cel-shaded one on clearance at Walmart.

Now there's an evil little part of me that kinda hopes AoE G2 Megatron is just ER Megatron in purple. 😆
