We won't, but it'd be nice if we got some Nexus-colored Weaponizers and such to bulk up/customize Nexus further.

Or just for more parts-formy color options.

Brand Panel recap

First render reveal of LEADER class Shockwhale

For Age of the Primes, they only showed wave 1 2027 deluxe figures. The Nexus limbs will be joined by Alpha Bravo and G2 Wildrider

Nate and Evan clarified that, while Generations will be seeing some “Armada” characters next year, 2028 is going to be the big shift in design direction with Studio Series being the source for media accurate representations, while Generations is going to, ahem, “evolve” into something else (My wording, not theirs)

Ugh. Repaint Filler wave at least means I don't spend much. I like Shockwhale but I'll have to see him in color and with other figures. Studio Series was a bit on the small side, especially after 86 Prime and Megatron, so if he ends up at around their height, I'll probably bite.

Always liked how neat Alpha Bravo's simple color scheme was. Might pick him up, but I'm also content to just keep the CW one around.

Shredhead's lightning looks like noodles, but the mold is pretty solid. Hope they can reuse this as someone else, because I have zero connection to this character in particular.

Shockwhale... is not for me. But if an upgrade kit shows up that lets you turn him into Mayhem Tidal Whale Wave, I'm listening.

Yeah was definitely more of a Studio Series show. Just the AotP deluxes.

Guess they are spreading the 2027 Reveals out a bit this year.

I also have never read a comic that they're in, so have no connection to the character, but there is no force on earth that can stop me from buying a Transformer that turns into a van with wizards and barbarians airbrushed onto the side. That just calls to me.

I haven't gotten into the Energon Universe stuff much yet, so I don't know anything about Shredhead. Looking at him just makes me think of Guinevere from Onward. Especially the concept art version.

Shredhead was made from the combined spark pieces of Cliffjumper's 'clan' on Cybertron (who were massacred by the Decepticons). They share some memories of his clan, or something. They referee to themselves as 'they' and their alt mode was scanned from Carly's van.

They use a shield and sword, and they give me the impression of a western, 80's He-Man/metal music version of Drift (in a kind of "new, cool, spotlighted, character, styled after a certain aesthetic and who's good with a sword").

I've never read the comics either, but read tfwiki about them the other day.

I do read the comic, and have no connection to the character; but i am still getting him becuas o that alt mode.

I logged on here to say almost that exact thing. It's glorious. The only thing that could make it better is glow in the dark.

Yeah, I have been collecting the EU issues, unfortunately dropped off reading right before Shreadhead appeared (gotta get around to getting caught up...), but that van altmode is GLORIOUS!
Between the 2 Stranger Things collabs, TMNT, and the Mystery Machine, van fans are eating good in Transformers. (Just need the A-Team van and maybe an Island Hoppers van TF to round out the V-Team?)

I've read the comics and Shredhead hasn't really resonated with me (to be frank, neither DWJ nor Kirkman are much on character) but I'll be definitely picking this up for the same reasons you've stated. Really happy to see they actually went the extra mile for the artwork on the alt mode.

Shredhead is alright; they're a beacon of originality in the sea of G1 nostalgia that was the early DWJ issues. We've been moving steadily into "anything goes" territory since then though. Nowhere near IDW levels, but thankfully it feels like stranglehold Subow S1-3 G1 had on the series and Energon Universe as a whole has lessened.

I just realized tonight that one of the grooves on Onslaught's trailer 'bed' behind the turret is the perfect size and depth to hold the front 'wheels' on Vortex, rear on Blast Off, so you can have him carry one of the flyers without it shifting around. Makes me wonder if any of the other surface details have hidden functions for storage or the like. And using some if the Red Cog stuff does work very well. For storage you can plug the short muzzle break barrel into his Bruticus fist on the 'Brawl Green' toe side and it looks like an exhaust pipe.

People are getting Armada Jetfire in hand and he looks mostly solid. Pants mode does have noticeably longer legs than the trailer pants, which makes the Optimus arms seem a bit short but eh, nothing some posing wouldn't be able to help with. Requiem Blaster looks more or less the same but hopefully more stable when combined.
