Mina the Hollower, from the makers of Shovel Knight

Figured I'd make a thread about Mina the Hollower. I love the Shovel Knight series and even though I prefer to get physical copies, I tried to get the digital version to support Yacht Club.

Aaaaand is not available in Asian PSN whatever. Ugh. Co player Geoff had to figure it out. Whhhhhhy? Shovel Knight had a Japanese release so Mina should have been marketed in Japan too and all that.

Anyway, we did three live streams.
Intro, which took over an hour

Then one 'dungeon', which took 3 hours.
And another getting lost in another area and not even finding a second dungeon, haha.

It's so hard! I thought we could finish one 'dungeon' in an hour so we'd be finished in maybe 6 to 7 hours but we were maybe 30% done after about 8 hours only!

Quick thoughts.
- I don't have a handle on Mina. She feels like a cipher like Shovel Knight, while Plague, Specter and King Knight had more personality.
- oooobviously we know who the villain is, haha
- I HATE the town pest! I thought we were safe in the hub! But nope!
- the healing system is good but dang, it's still so tough!

I want to play more to see other stuff but 8 hours is draining, dang.

Anybody else here playing Mina the Hollower? What do you think so far?

Enjoying it so far except the tower sequences.

Haven't had to turn in any mods yet.

You've done more than one tower? We stumbled around and missed the next area, haha (don't say where. We'll find it eventually, haha). My big contribution to the playthru was doing the tower part actually, hehe.

Oh, a weird complaint I have is seeing humans also around in this world. I thought it was all animal folk.

We actually haven't seen the mods selection.

Mods are under options.

And yeah. I was able to get two towers done so far.

We got the second tower done. I had to do it too, haha. The boss was freaky, haha

May I ask which of the two towers you did? We'll be hunting for the next one.

I did the Crypt as the first one, then the swamp.

From what I understand I probably should have done the swamp first.

Oh! We did the same! Crypt then Swamp. I feel like we should do the Crypt first cuz you get that refill health Trinket.

I swear, Mina really IS a horror game! Geez! We found the area for the next Spark Generator and it's horror themed again!

Seriously. I like classic Castlevania but Mina has way too many suspenseful, heart stopping moments! They really should have advertised it as gothic horror, haha

Haven't played more.. today was a bit of a busy day.. and haven't felt good.. So I'll fall behind.

Geez, Mina is DARK! We did the Halloween themed place third before but we missed finding one of the missing kids before fighting the creepy boss. When we got back to the school house... geez!

I thought to tell my friend to go through the stage again but he just left... and ended up completing probably the final stage of the spark generators! It was so hard! It must have been the supposed last one to do!

Friend finished it.

What the hex kind of ending was that?! Geez. The scenes before the final stage were so depressing too. Didn't expect the story to go that way.

I wanted a happier ending, c'mon.
