G.I. Joe thread - Yo Jo June 2026: Hooded Cobra Commander and others

Great ReAction+ wave? Or GREATEST wave?
Leaking out from online retailers is the next assortment of ReAction+, with a whopping FIVE figures on offer. While the mix is skewed on core characters, the eclectic nature of the selections really makes this wave stand out.

First off is a comic inspired, non-dive suit, Deep Six figure much as he originally appeared. Next is a solid Lady Jaye, with crossbow, javelin and quiver, in a classic Sunbow flavor. Follow off from there is a new Zartan, in comic coloring with his archer gear ready to send an arrow into the comic/DiC Serpentor's head. He supposedly even has UV color changing!
And finally, two HUGE surprises. Supposedly hailing from the later comic series, these particular designs don't trigger any memories from when I read the original series some years back. Yes, it's Cobra Commander AND Snake Eyes...but who would have thought we'd be getting NINJA FORCE versions! Not only that, but Super7 understood the assignment and both are packaged on neon pink card backs with most of their gear on eye-searingly bright red plastic sprues.

(And probably have some "pretooling" for other figures. I know Cobra Commander's torso looks like it might end up with Storm Shadow, and Snake Eyes would be a fine base for a ReAction+ Mortal Kombat ninja)

Kinda knew Lady Jaye was coming from her inclusion in the USA 250 collection.

Hasbro has started to tease YoJoe June with first announcement of a Tomb Raider Collaboration. The teaser images sports a retro Hasbro logo with a very ARAH looking piece of art blurred in the back. We getting o-ring AND Classified?

Hasbro's been using the retro style art and retro logo on their classic styled six inch Classified figures. I think this will just be a Laura Croft Classified figure in retro packaging. I don't think Hasbro's interested in 3.75 inch o-ring stuff anymore. They're happy to kick that to Super7 with ReActive+

That's going to make money. Classified crossovers are a great idea.

GI Joe is arguably a stronger Hasbro brand to do collabs with than Transformers. Just thinking of some properties Transformers has done collabs with...
Top Gun, Knight Rider, Stranger Things, Jurassic Park. They could be fit into GI Joe with very little work.

I agree with this 100%, GI Joe is very suited for crossovers like these. Problem is, Classified is very well-suited for great figures, but as soon as vehicles enter the mix, I feel like the 3-3/4 scale is more viable. But maybe that's just me.

I was thinking in a corpo goon kind of way. If they do enough crossovers, eventually it could become the thing to do crossovers with. Like Funko Pops, but in an aesthetic that's not purposefully obnoxious for whatever reason.

So, my local Walmart just reset their electronics aisles, including the collectible section, and there was a hook for S7 ReAction but no product. Checked the app, and the USA250 figures were showing available for pickup in store, so I ordered the 2 I wanted most:

Lady Jaye was the one figure I really wanted, being a new figure in the line. She looks like she would pair well with an Optimus Prime if we ever got one in the GI Joe Crossover lineup.

Falcon was not one of my favorite characters ever, but this figure looks pretty great!

I saw the peg at mine, so I’m hoping I’ll be able to get Falcon. They didn’t have anything on the peg, hard to tell if Walmart hadn’t gotten them yet or just hadn’t put them out since some dip put the TMNT costume kids toys on the peg.

Super7 DID have some inventory of the 250th figures on their website. At this point, only Duke and Lady Jaye remain, with the other two and the bundle already sold out.

Hasbro Pulse has announced via social media that there will be FOUR fan streams in YoJoe June. They will be hosted by Bmac (formerly of Transformers) and Dan Larson (of Secret Galaxy social media). I’m pretty sure Dan Larson is there to provide some “personality” since Larry and Tony aren’t with the brand anymore.

One of the first major announcements has come from BBTS social media, teasing a fan channel Cobra Commander with throne (and rumored to have a masked head sculpt for the first time).

Perhaps slipping ahead of YoJoe June, official images are out of the SDCC exclusives this year. Both playing to the Sunbow crowd:

First up is the Fatal Fluffy deluxe figure. Priced at $55, it includes multiple facial options (including fire breath with effects piece!), the pre-transformed version, and weapons on in a cereal box inspired sleeve.

Following on, Hasbro is leveraging that new female Crimson Guard buck to give fans a trip back to Springfield. Inspired by the fan favorite episode, “There’s No Place Like Springfield”, this two pack offers Cadet Deming (with a TON of accessories, including a complementing blue CG helmet, goggles, and a nurses’ cap look) packed with “old man” Shipwreck with alternate bandaged head, Polly with synthoid destabilizer, and a glass of drugged milk. While Hasbro teased a “interrogation table” on the packaging, all we ended up getting was the primary console. Set will be $65

Liking the looks of these, but Classified isn't exactly my jam. Hopefully Super7 starts pulling from There's No Place Like Springfield for their ReAction+ lineup.
