Does seem to be a Megatronus base. Makes it a somewhat comfortable pass, although it could look really good in color.
I wonder if they'll eventually make a comic series Fallen in entirely black with a lot of glowy orange/yellow wash. Maybe that'll get me to buy the mold.

Most reveals are spoiled now because we have a guy searching databases at retail stores everyday. I miss not knowing about upcoming toys and looking forward to toy shows with actual reveals.

I used to have those a lot more often. Usually in the vein of a G1 remake with modern whatever, back before those became commonplace. I remember one where I saw a remake of Slag, about Deluxe size, packaged in dino mode in a white/silver/black box with red accents that reminded me of the silver 90s packaging.
The most recent one I can recall (this is a big factor in why I can't really say "still", because how does one remember dreams) is a weirdly compaxtly packaged Metroplex (dreams amirite) who, per the box, would unfold into a suitably immense robot.
But I'm realizing now this is probably an entirely different kind of dream.

Did some light modification on Prime Smokescreen. Cut the knee tabs and shaved down the catches that cause his legs to click into place. Now I can actually use his knee articulation without cracking his shins open.
I still dream of the Dino-Riders revival that will never happen.
