It makes sense to cut out the middleman...except when that middleman is the one paying YOU to license the IP, has a proven track record and fan base, and a long line of other products that people may want anything new to fit with rather than having to start over.

Then again, I may be wrong, they keep making new Seekers and Minibots that don't match their prior attempts, and that's in-house, so who knows? I just don't see how this is that much more profitable, though.

The comments over there are fascinating.

We have no idea what this is, what existing franchises it may involve, or if anything will come of it at all.

This last bit that I emphasized has me intrigued; if it's anything to do with Transformers, maybe we can get Teletran and other playsets. Maybe a Space Bridge?

If these don't make it, it'll be the biggest irony in the brand's history.

We'll see what Hasbro has cooking. The mark is very vague in terms of product...but Hasbro isn't a stranger to trying the same things over and over again...

My Little Pony tried model kits a few years ago probably well over 10 years ago but time isn't real anymore. Mostly ponies, but I know they made at least one building. So not quite what Blokees is doing, but also not at all like BTR or Kre-O. It was parts on sprues, not building blocks. It's not uncharted territory for modern Hasbro.

I don't know if it caught on. They asked us to post the stock photos during one Toy Fair or SDCC or whatever it was and then I never heard about it again.

Hmm. Didn't even occur to me at the time, but there's some visual similarities to the logos between Kre-O and Mākits.

I do wonder where this is going. I mean, Mashers came back...

That this is Hasbro Mākits rather than a filing specifically connected to one property is interesting. Kre-O eventually had some pretty neat GI Joe things, anf D&D, and another somewhat unexpected license... I think Trolls?

But don't you see, evil Hasbro HAS to be doing the worst, greediest thing possible, to (and this is a direct quote) "screw over the fans". "They want to make kit figures of their own" is a reasonable bit of speculation to make on what little we actually know about this, but wow.

Gol-freaking-lee, I love staying right here on the Allspark.

There are reasons why this is the only Transformers forum account I have.

I don't know if this is surprising, but the only other forum account I have is for tech support.

If I were Hasbro I'd worry more about how Blokees are so much better at getting distribution than they are. There's basically only one significant physical retailer still carrying most Transformers left in the UK, whereas TF Blokees are literally everywhere.

Every time I see a Transquito I don't know whether to buy it out of pity or let it keep sitting there for the meme.

I could always use a new one. My original broke years ago.
