Is the Sideways wave not out yet? I feel like I've been seeing reviews of that figure for months, but he still doesn't seem available anywhere yet.

I have Sideways. Pretty sure I got him at retail, too.
I saw him at GameStop the other day.
I've seen his wavemate, Nexus Prime, in stores. Can't remember if I've seen Sideways, though.
I got my Sideways in from Pulse, but that doesn't always say a lot about a toy's presence at retail.

hehehehe... powerglide and kranix landed today. It'll be weeks before I open them: but I am looking forward to it.
At least that part will be easy to 3rd party up, if someone makes a kit.
I was so hyped for Sideways, and then I was disappointed with the Mini-Cons.
I can rationalize them a bit in that per the cartoon, they're not normal Mini-Cons and Sideways is apparently Unicronian and not Cybertronian, and space chaos magic is harder to turn into a toy than mechanical movement/shifting.
So yeah, he's fine. I wish the faction-switching panel was more robust and had a neutral/no symbol option, but he's a lot more posable than the original. (Crosswise and Rook, though, are not.)
Depending on if you go by the English or Japanese version, that is.
I really don’t like how nothing on them locks in any mode and honestly, the arms/legs horns for the heads really would have benefitted from fake parts.
Ive actually been lucky and finding all of the latest waves at retail, which is good, I get to cancel my Hasbro Pulse pre orders.
I've been after this for some time, and was looking forward to this solo release. But after getting and handling Chase I'm a little apprehensive about the clear plastic. (I do think the main struts are opaque and just the roof/windows are clear that sit atop that.)
Then again, Wasp had even more, but I went and got that. Although I also haven't transformed that in months and only gingerly did so early on...
Anyway, how good or otherwise are people finding Smokescreen? I was on the fence early on, and the chest/shoulders are still off, but the pics that have shown up since then make him look pretty good.
He’s good but his CW style clamshell shins don’t lock together very well and he has difficulty standing up because he bizarrely has knees that click lock into place very firmly and even stranger, tabs that secure the thighs to the kneepads in robot mode at a weird angle. You either stand him in a hyperextended knee stance or a bowlegged one.
Subjectively, I find the bumper chest always looks like it should go lower because of how his head sits.
