We used to make bean hole beans on our spring camping trip every year when I was in Boy Scouts. One of the other kids' grandfather was a master of campout cooking, so he'd come along every spring and show us how it was done. We had an entire feast cooking in cast iron buried in the ground.
Awesome! I'm a leader with my kid's Beaver Scout section. Might have to dig up a bean hole at our Fall camp!
