I think we're going to get a heavily G1 Thunderwing, but the larger blue jet vehicle will unfold into Stormbringer wings for super mode.

I'd be up for that, I think. A G1 Thunderwing with little Stormbringer touches and the Ultra Mode whatever.

I always wanted that one 3rd party Stormbringer Thunderwing, as clunky as it looked. If this is anywhere close to that, I consider it a win. Still, even if it is more Marvel-ey, I'm okay with that too.

I remember that one. It was the same company that was doing BW NEO Unicron and then just gave up and quietly disappeared, right?

Yeah, that one. About the only thing wrong I can say about it is that the thigh swivels break the sculpted cables on his thighs.

The Unicron is a shame. It would have been basically what happened with Missing Link Arcee.

It won't happen but I imagined a remold approximating this from Liege Maximo for the Unicorn Soldier.

Given the abbreviation reuse since Age of Extinction is now Age of Evolution or AOE2 or something, the next line after needs to branch out.

"Next time, on Transformers: STEVE- Apparitions Explaining Invasions Of Unicron!"

Because after Poo-TP, Aye-Oh!TP, etc, I will be happy with any acronym that doesn't look stuck in a COVID shortage. But it'll probably just be the Power Of Optimus Prime or something.

I looked at offcial listing for the Sentinel+ Conduit set and I realize that it doesn't come with a stand or something to display the thing upright. I get that it's supposed to represent the Well of Sparks but an option to set it vertically would have done a lot for displays.

Also it's already an expensive set for a partially reused Voyager and a bauble. Throw us a bone, Hasbro.

I still don't understand why it doesn't come with copies of the artifacts in a matching gold. I realized the other day that the poor hole placement that mess up names and symbols would be a lot better if the end result was more integrated.

It's basically meant to be a glorified manhole cover. Those typically aren't vertical. :p

Gotta give some exclusivity to those accessories by making them only come with their respective Prime toys. ;)

That will be the HasLab Primus.

Surprised Takara hasn't started offering The Artifacts separately, in gold chrome, as promotional items.

What's wrong with the shoulders? I'm considering just passing on him. Things are a bit thin, trying to work out the budget leaving Swindle in place but maybe having Thunderwing as an option depending on how it looks when an actual reveal takes place.

His shoulder pads are separate pieces that just plug onto the shoulders via 5mm posts. Like many such connections, they like to come off. Whether because of tolerances or because they're also made of soft, rubbery plastic due to all the spikes, they're not a real secure fit, so they pop off particularly easily. They're not going to fall off just because you pick him up or anything like that. But if you transform him or adjust his shoulders for arm articulation purposes, plan to either hold them in place or pick them up off the floor.

This sort of implementation is probably my biggest pet peeve with modern Transformers. I really appreciate that they're designed to not break. Modern toys are sooooo much more durable that the G1 toys I grew up with. But I hate that it's come at the expense of having toys that seemingly want to explode into pieces all on their own.

The reason that is, there's STIRCT rules on toys that companies like Hasbro & Mattel have to obey, the 80s were pretty much the wild west of toys with various quailty, but then came the rules surounding toys for safety reasons
