Back when Pulse was sending out emails for us to make sure that our mailing addresses were correct, were we supposed to actually do anything if the address they had for us already was correct? Because I didn't see any sort of "Confirm" or "Submit" button or anything like that back then even though the address they had listed for me was correct.

I did nothing as my address was correct and it seemed to work out for me.

I've always viewed those emails as just heads-up, on the off chance that you moved and didn't update your address or somesuch. I don't usually respond to them. I do, however, continue to get random emails from Pulse saying that they tried to charge my card on file and it didn't work. Then, without me doing anything (because there isn't anything wrong), it works just fine. It's more annoying than anything else.

Welp, I won't be getting my Liokaiser today. Fedex sent me an email showing that they attempted to deliver, but no one was home to get a signature.

DELIVER.png

Circled in red is their note stating that no one was home. Circled in yellow is the pre-signed release form that Fedex had told me to put on my door so that they WOULD deliver the package if no one was home. The driver apparently did not see it when they were sticking THEIR note directly above it.

I'll try again tomorrow, I guess.

Had something like this happen with Omega Prime last year. I rent a basement apartment, but the entry is in the back of house. I told the owner to let them know to go around back. They did by putting a big sign out on their door saying "deliveries for (my name) go around back" big letters with an arrow. They still ignored it and put up a "no one home" note.

I wish Fedex would go back to using UPS. Fedex, as a company, clearly wanted to be a different sort of company. Maybe a fruit cannary or an investment firm or something. They started doing package delivery to make ends meet until they had a chance to pursue their dream and just do a really half-assed job of it because it's not their true passion.

Damn, that is just garbage-level service. I am working from home today and it is supposed to arrive anytime. I think I will walk down to the delivery van when it comes, just so there's no ambiguity about whether or not I'm actually home.

I'm not waiting on a Liokaiser, but lately when other stuff gets shipped to me via Fedex they have a habit of sending me extremely optimistic "your package is scheduled for delivery tomorrow" emails the instant it enters their possession. I don't know what they're doing anymore and I'm not sure they do either.

It's here!

Met the driver at the street and signed for it. Once inside, I noticed that the bottom of the shipping box was bent inward pretty good. Liokaiser box was just fine though, and I had time to visually inspect the contents of each individual box inside; all good. It's an impressive-looking set, and I can't wait to dive in.

I had a similar problem. I called FedEx to bitch about it, and they assured me that the delivery will be completed tomorrow.

I strongly suspect that they hire lazy people for delivery jobs. Or from the same pool as InstaCart.

Upon inspection, it turns out that the driver DID see the paper, but is a stickler for rules that FedEx itself seems unclear on? The driver wrote a note on the back of his ticket thing that an in-person signature is required and he can't accept a pre-signed release, whether on the form that i used or on the ticket.

Luckily, my wife should be home tomorrow when he drops off, so I should get it then.

Mine's supposed to come tomorrow, but I'll be at work. Not sure if my wife will be here when it comes or not. I'm assuming I'll have to go pick it up Friday.

Ah. So you got a jobsworth, and I got someone who was either in too much of a rush to be patient, or too lazy to alert anyone that they had arrived. Fingers crossed that we both get what we were supposed to get.

I went ahead and signed the ticket that he left just in case my wife ISN'T home when he arrives, so yeah, fingers crossed!

Shipping label has been created! No ETA yet.
I just updated my fedex profile, had an address from 3 houses ago. I am going to take a shot in the dark and say where it says "Label Created" is where I would see a label thats been created for my address. Not sure how long it takes FedEx system to update after an address is updated, but looking like nothing for me as of yet.

Sure enough, they came to my house, didn't knock loud enough for my wife to hear, and now I'll have to go pick it up. Worse, they also didn't deliver Liege Maximo, even though he didn't have any signature requirement. ☹️
