I'm okay with this. About what I expected from the 'combining artifacts' gimmick they mentioned once and then never talked about.
I do need to get that Throne of the Primes and then have that with this. I think that'll make a good visual.

And yeah, the art, with the much higher contrast between the orange and yellow, looks better than the figure itself seems to.

I really prefer the lighting of the toy shot - I think the desaturated orange/yellow goes a lot better together, and that orange is a nice shade we don't see too much. The bright colored box art reads too much like a (Predaking) Predacon to me. And I never really liked how bright the Titans Return one was.

This looks nice, and I might be tempted at normal Voyager price, but I'm assuming it'll be more? Any word?

Don't underestimate Hasbro's greed, they pretty much milked the WFC/Earthrise Sideswipe mold, far more than the Earthrise seeker mold which has been their normal mold type for milking and if you look at the Amarda Nemeis prime figure, its pretty much the same Optimus prime with one change a new head and then packaged with some new Minicons, so with Vector Prime it could be a very similar case, where they change the colours, change one thing on the figure and then maybe package him with a updated verison of his Minicon
You're missing the point here. Alternate heads get included in molds all the time. Then they can release it in a new deco with an alternate head (or other parts) with no additional investment cost. That's absolutely standard practice.

This is not a sensical pretooled alternate part. This is a very similar sword, now with a different hilt that can plug into this Conduit. It's a newly-tooled accessory. That's significant because the process of creating new tools is very expensive. Meanwhile, the price impact of having just one part in that new tool versus having as many parts as you can cram into that standard-sized tool is negligible. So if they're going to create new tools, they aren't going to waste all that money they'd have to spend to just get one sword that they could absolutely get by without. I.e. if they're making a new sword, they're going to be making other new parts as well.

At minimum, any parts that shared a tool with the original sword could be revised. At maximum, they could have decided that a retool just didn't cut it for this big event line and made a whole new mold. Hopefully we'll know soon. Any expected reveal dates coming up?

I don't know how accurate it was, but the number I saw posted seemed significantly more than "A 2022 Voyager with a big wheel accessory" would seem to cost, even with todays prices.

The listing that kicked all this off the other day was $67.99 USD. So definitely way above Voyager price.

I had been hoping for a FFoD Sentinel

Though I'd really rather have FFoD Sentinel

Normally I'd scoff at $70 for a Voyager and an accessory, but I can't be rational about a new Sentinel Prime. I'll happily pay it.

Until the news that $70 is the new Voyager price due to oil/tariff/alien abduction/profiteering/privateering/Corporate Board Brain Fart/The Search For More Money.

Sentinal's Alt-Mode is very "More Than Meets The Eye cybertronian mode" to me. Like it'd fit alonside origins Jazz and Wheeljack.

The Autobot 3 pack (Ironhide, Bluestreak and Mirage) had some pictures come out. Ironhide has his yellow stripe and Mirage looks to be retooled a bit. (And potentially mistransformed so his shoulder rocket looks very akwardly placed)

It looks like some kind of massive Diaclone excavator or troop mover in that MTMTE style, yeah. I dig it. I appreciate any time they can remould a figure and get a distinct alt mode out of it. It took me a moment to clock that this was made from Tarn.

His altmode reminds me of something out of either the Star Wars prequels or the Fall of Cybertron video game.

I had a blue Bluestreak that broke, and so did my nephew's. We took them apart and built one intact one for him. I don't have an Ironhide or Mirage at all. I may look into it depending on price and what is going haywire at the time.
