As much as I like the molds, I do agree with this. The Hot Wheels that both of these are based on have some really interesting and different decos available that I wish they had gone with instead.

If I were a more practical man, I would wait for the very likely repaints. But, here in the real world, I've already preordered them.
Just discovered that the El Segundo Coupe has a G2 Grimlock style range of silver, blue, and turquoise-ish colors. The yellow would have been VERY nice for it. Or the Dream Garage black with gold striping. Color Shifters white is nice too, even without the color change gimmick (or maybe just emulated with standard paint in a splattered deco). And this "Lost Light Rodimus"-colors GT Scorcher is GORGEOUS. Plain robot mode and all, I might've bought it for these colors.

(Boy, I wish I knew of a resource for this that wasn't the Wikia/Fandom wiki. Tried a page on my phone and there was literally a 2.5"x1" viewable space behind all the ads and embedded manure.)

Just grabbed this from hotwheels.antifandom.com, it says it's a JPG, although right click and paste seems to give a PNG. Dragging it to desktop gives webp, but that may be a function of the browser.

Unless you mean some browsers have a feature for converting the image format, what does the browser have to do with aything?

The problem was never "it won't display in the browser"; it was "it downloads as this weird thing none of my desktop programs recognize, and also half the websites I upload stuff to (even if they do automatically convert uploads to webp and don't allow downloading as anything else) won't accept it as an upload".

Yeah, I couldn't care less what format is being used to send data over the internet and display it on screen. I care a lot about what format it tries to save an image I want to keep as on my computer. It's easy enough to get a browser extension to convert the image before saving, but it's very irritating that I have to do that in the first place. Especially when I can see in the URL that it's a .jpg or .png file to begin with.
