I reread Kingdom Come last night and I couldn’t take any scene with Red Robin seriously. Dude looks like Man from Batmanarkham

learning that logan paul has tried to do to yugioh what he did with the pokémon TCG is so funny cause nobody gives two shits about YGO from a collector POV. pokémon has a thousand critters and every one of them is someone's fave. nobody gives two shits about any yugioh cards outside of like blue-eyes white dragon, dark magician, dark magician girl, and maybe red-eyes black dragon and konami reprints cards so often these things hold no value whatsoever. only things that hold any value is what's meta relevant and the meta can change relatively quickly, so that $100 card you pulled might end up worth like $5 after a year cause new banlists and new cards made that deck not that good anymore.

I still have my Exodia deck from way back when the game first came to the States. When the first ban list rolled out, 23 out of 40 in the deck were restricted or banned.

I'm sure this is already a thing, but any venue that follows banlists should have YOLO days when everything is allowed.

Then all the sweaty tryhards will all play the exact same deck. And, at least with Magic, half of those decks will be fake cards because a Black Lotus still goes for more than a half-decent car.

Kinda reminds me of how I've seen a few times a suggestion for a 'Playground Yu-Gi-Oh' format AKA a format based around the simplified way a lot of people played YGO as kids and it's like...OK yeah you could make a format with rules based on what were the most common 'playground rules' (stuff like don't need to tribute to summon a level 5 and above monster, all extra deck monsters are just in your deck with no extra deck, you can activate trap cards the same turn, etc.) but you're not gonna be able to recreate the actual childhood YGO experience because we're not a children anymore. A meta will form, top tier decks will exist, there will be strategies and combos and everything else people might think shouldn't exist in a 'playground format'.

Cause just having playground YGO rules isn't enough, you also need all the players to be children with a lack of understanding of the game + a lack of knowledge on how to build a deck because no kid was making some super optimised archetype-based deck. You had a starter deck your parents bought for you and then some booster packs you bought with your allowance or whatever and you just put what cards you thought were cool/strong together to make your totally jank deck.

There was always that one kid who tried to do some anime bullshit like 'Well my Blue-Eyes White Dragon is a dragon and has wings and can fly so it just flies over all of your monsters to attack directly'.

I think my country police forces are going completely mad, one force record a "ONE" year old child as a criminal, its insane to say the least, yet its completely laughable, the age that a child can be held responsible for a crime is 10 years old, no idea what the crime was as I only just learned this from a video about how my country going down the toilet thanks to idiots in power, the child doesn't know any better and likely can't speak fully as they are still growing and devleoping

So...Romeo and Juliet both made some stupid ass choices. But here's one I hadn't thought about.

Romeo has been exiled. Juliets father says she'll marry someone else or else he'll disown her.

Well...fine! So she leaves and go finds Romeo. Win win!
