Oof. No way to get this but the secondary market, hope it's at least reasonable.

I like the T Rex guy better than World Dragnus. It reminds me of the Metal Cardbots Rex Kaiser but without a box of crayons vomited all over it. Might be going to Japan this year. I just might pick it and a set of limbs up.

Yeah, it is a campaign item. A yellow recolor of his sword, "Rexcalibur (Special Color ver.)". Available with early preorders of the figure:

I did preorder the Rexblade / Wolf Buddy combo on Amazon Japan, don't know if that qualifies me for the extra sword or not. Honestly, as much as I do enjoy a good sparkly plastic sword, I think the stock blue and gold one looks better.

Yeah, the stock sword’s got some nice paint detailing and I have a feeling the bonus sword’s going to end up bright lemon yellow

Yeah, the normal version of Rexcalibur included with Rexblade is likely the sword's normal appearance while the "Special Color ver." likely represents the sword in a glowing, powered up form mid-attack sequence or something.

I'd have preferred the clear plastic for that purpose, though considering that the sword appears to be a single piece that has to attach in dinomode using a long, thin peg, I can understand if the mold for the sword isn't designed to handle clear plastic.

I'm most excited about the hippo. I loved the giraffe and elephant.

So what's tariffs like these days? I pre-ordered Missing Link Nemesis Prime on Amazon Japan before the current situation. He arrived here in the US about a month ago without any extra cost. I'd love to order a few of these (and maybe the new Nemesis Star Convoy) on Amazon Japan, but I'm still so unsure if it'll come with a tariff charge once it gets stateside.

It's still 10% universally last I checked.

This happened to me when I was collecting Time Bokan 24's figures. Import stores like BBTS and the like just skipped the line entirely, I had to use amiami and HLJ the whole time. Clearly there's some cut off for "we don't think our adult collectors want THESE kids toys".
I don't want to rely on HLJ. They've been giving me weird problems with other lines. A lot of Star Detective Precure merchandise for example seems to have appeared on the site already discontinued.

Hokay, so, the first episode of Wild King W gets released tomorrow, May 20. Here is a Spanish-fansubbed version of the announcement trailer:

While the English fansubs of the first series ground to a halt after Episode 5 (the guy whom I was helping with the subs got busy IRL), the people who made this Spanish-fansubbed trailer have also made complete Spanish fansubs of all 14 episodes of the first Wild King series, including all of the geolocked episodes.

Anyone who wants to play catch-up on the first series before W begins tomorrow can view it all through this playlist of the Spanish fansub:

Since the audio in still in Japanese, one can still turn on YouTube's closed captions and select the auto-translate option for English to get, not a perfect translation, but at least the basic gist of the dialogue's meaning. Or if you happen to know Spanish, then you should be good with the fansubs (I can't vouch for their accuracy since I haven't looked them over).

Nice! Thanks for posting that. Been missing watching these after the videos got region locked, soon followed by even vague descriptions of episodes disappearing from the internet.

Aaaaaaand not only did the first episode get released but also the second... and both are geolocked.

Guess we gotta wait for the Spanish fansubbers to upload them.
