Yes, but corporate exec types aren't really in the know of the brands they own outside of spreadsheets and earnings reports.That's a fairly common demand when other companies get involved, it seems like, though I personally think it's kind of silly. No one is going to be like: "Wait a minute. Mattel is being represented by an EVIL alien robot?! They must, as a corporate policy, believe in the subjugation of humanity to work in the Energon mines!"

The existence of a second wave, with store exclusives and the hints of more to come seem to indicate that it's doing enough to make both sides happy.I hope Mattel is happy enough with this collaboration arrangement to want to keep it going, because Hasbro is clearly having a good time with it.
