Takara has a habit of winding everything into their singular JG1 timeline. Absolutely everything.
Much of their modern additions have been post-G2, though.
And New Legends has thus far all been post-Beast Era.
Looks like the name they're going with is "Nemesis Star Convoy".
Looks pretty nice. Not sure if it's "import a Titan" nice, but I'm looking forward to more info.

Ah well, obvious evil name is obvious. Shame though. Still, looking forward to the full reveal of the figure.

I don't get the disappointment over the name. You can call him Black Hole Singularity Battlestar NemiScourge Primevoy once he's in your collection. Nothing's stopping you.
Maybe that one corner store in Botswana can hook you up.

Well, the Core class Shockwave mold might not be able to fit inside it anyway, which would defeat the point of including it.

I might get this eventually because Nemesis Prime, but... It's not as urgent because of the utterly bizarre swap-o with the little partner guy. What an odd choice.

I refuse to let this mess be in my home-

I do though have some serious doubts about removing a rather specific mold-dedicated function for a partner who doesn't really make sense. It is the best colors on that little Shockwave I've seen, the original I have set aside for Bruticus is VERY monochrome and dark, I was thinking of bringing out some details with silver or something.

But why did they name him "Soundwave" of all things?
It would have been understandible if they named him "Shockwave" since "Shockblast" was just a trademark-friendly stand-in for "Shockwave" at the time, and Shockblast's Japanese name was "Laserwave", the same Japanese name as G1 Shockwave, and apparently Takara is currently unable to use the "Laserwave" name since the MPs were named "Destron Laserwave" while the Legends toy that used the CW mold was named "Shockwave" with the pack-in manga even having him change his name from "Laserwave" to "Shockwave" in-universe to reflect the situation with the toy's name, so it would have made a world of sense for Takara to call this toy "Shockwave" or even "Shockblast" to match the Hasbro name.
