But maybe they should rework it so his legs form more of a flatbed truck or something, so he can fit in there better?
Now I'm picturing his alt mode sans trailer resembling Kup. Then I jumped to the toy getting repainted later as Kuptimus Prime.

That wasn't concept art for the '86 movie so even by the extremely thin justifications they've been doing lately, he's even further beyond that. We'll all be disappointed/elated when it's 'Concept Rodimus' which transforms into a fire engine.
Being a Prime is reserved for Classics Kup.Now I'm picturing his alt mode sans trailer resembling Kup. Then I jumped to the toy getting repainted later as Kuptimus Prime.
Considering how often Kup gets repainted into Pre-Prime Optimus, I'd say painting an Optimus into Kup would be fair play.
Just give me the vehicle mode with zero compromises to accommodate a standalone car mode. Hot Rod has his own toys. Leave it alone.
or did nothing at all
That's like what I meant.Or just make it flat to begin with. Funny enough, for all the Kuptimus Prime talk, I'm sure there's a concept pickup whatever that could work too, like the G1 toy but with the back half actually fleshed out into a truck flatbed instead of a robot planking. It'd also be a funny blend of young robot (the Hot Rod aesthetic) and older robot (Kup-like altmode), perfect for the midlife crisis blazing chrome Space Winnebago.
Well well well how the turn tables
Did they really put all Astrotrain’s budget into chugga chugga action?
