Shots were fired at the White House Correspondents Dinner. A Secret Service agent was hit and taken to the hospital, while Trump, Pence, the Cabinet and others were rushed off the premises. The shooter was apprehended, however numerous witnesses reported that the gunman opened fire within the “secure zone” at the event, raising security questions and concerns.

Well, now we know why Trump decided to attend the Correspondents dinner for the first time.
Trump isn't bitching he nearly died, immediately used it to push getting his ballroom, and apparently plans to reschedule the event (one he's never been to before.). He staged this jive to justify his ******* bunker.
The fact that they got the guy alive makes me think this is (somehow) legit. It'd be one thing if the shooter escaped or died, but a live prisoner means he can answer questions.

I can be paranoid, but I'm not seeing anything here. This guy's plan was no more elaborate than idiots who try climbing the White House fence, and I'm not seeing any strange luck on his side. He just ran for it and apparently tripped on his own stupid feet. I don't think anybody's going to be making documentaries trying to figure this one out. This was just a dumbass.
The one convenience here is the "This is why we need that Ballroom" angle. Considering Trump was far enough from any danger that he didn't even notice anything was happening until Secret Service told him it was time to leave, is it really that hard to believe that "Huh, I guess I'm right" is his main reaction here?

I see no reason to believe it's a big conspiracy and not some joker thinking he'd found a lucky break and deciding to go for it. But I also know that Trump (or whoever's pulling the strings now that we're halfway to Weekend At Donnie's) is opportunistic enough to try to spin it.
