The colors on Cyclonus look nice (though I do wish his main color was a bit more blue). Tempting, though I agree the current Voyager prices are a bit much, especially for a redeco. Might need to dig out my Kingdom one and see if it's degraded or not.

I feel like I'm in the distinct minority re: his face though. I was very surprised when I first saw here (only a few months ago) that people apparently hated the Kingdom face. I always thought it looked good, and the new one one, while fine, looks less like "Cyclonus" to me (just looks too... youthful, I guess, for going with Carmel's voice?)

Cliffjumper is the main one I have eyes on. I'd really like Cyclonus, but probably not happening, unless I find a good deal or something. And Blitzwing is in the "when I'm rich someday" pile.

I think Cliffjumper wears the 86 mold better than Bumblebee did.

Cyclonus looks great. I'm in the camp that considers the Kingdom face an abomination, and I'm glad someone at Hasbro agrees it was not good enough.

Blitzwing is certainly toon Blitzwing. It's nice to have an alternative to the Dramatic Capture set, as so many of the molds in the Dramatic Capture sets are being replaced right now.

Yeah, I never really outright hated the sculpt either, I just felt it was a little lackluster. While the new one might be appealing in some ways, it doesn't seem to me like they absolutely nailed it, which would be a "bare minimum" for me want to throw down on another version.

Cyclonus' new head looks really nice, and it is a very good mould, so he's a maybe.

Blitzwing looks promising... I actually dig the darker colours his Legacy figure has so I'm not rushing to replace him, but the new look is nice. I'll have to see how it looks in person.

Cliffjumper is a pass. I don't like the SS '86 Bumblebee mould, and I love ER Cliffjumper. I also have the Buzzworthy Bumblebee Cliffjumper that repaints the mould in Sunbow accurate colours, so I'm good there too.

I still want Devastation Cliffjumper in Classic Colors
I've seen A LOT of love for Devastation Bumblebee because of his Classics stylings. ToyHax put out a set to that effect, and it must have done well because they're doing sticker sets to turn Devastation Wheeljack into an homage to Generations 2011 Wheeljack and Devastation Sideswipe into an homage to Universe 2.0 Sideswipe.

As silly as it may sound to make CHUG figures homaging earlier CHUG figures... there may every well be a market there. More than a few people I've seen in my online TF fan circles have said they'd go all in, even at modern pricing, on a line that revisits the designs of Classics '06.

I'll stick to TR Blitzwing but please don't let this Cyclonus have the same issues the Selects one had.
Ah, crap. What issues? That's my current main (with Kingdom destined to go if I can find a buyer in this godforsaken market)

I've got the Selects version as well, and haven't encountered any issues with my copy. I'd like to know what to look out for, though.

The only issue I've heard about is yellowing, so nothing exclusive to the Selects version.

I really wish this remold existed before we got the Selects version, because that face was not remotely okay.

The Selects version should have used the toy-accurate face they gave to Ferak.

Had a thought, can Cliffjumper's gun split? Because if not it's going to be sticking out to the side by quite a ways, given where the side peg is.

I am thinking I may try to preorder him (two, actually, one for me and one for my nephew), and also a Cyclonus, as all there is between the two of us is the old deluxe with the Targetmaster. I got him a Galvatron a while back, I could stash the new Cyclonus till his birthday. We have plenty of those purple and black targetmasters, so adding a bit of that functionality is simple enough if he's interested.

i will say i visually like SS86 cliffjumper over SS86 bumblebee but not enough to replace my buzzworthy redeco of the earthrise mold

I had planned to try to get the Buzzworthy but I never saw it. And this way, I finally update my old 'comes with a yellow roller' Cliffjumper, and he's not a shared mold with any Bumblebee I have!

Oh, but making reproduction stickers for the original G2 Laser Optimus Prime is "Not practical".

(Yes, I'm still upset about that.)

Classics Grimlock remains one of my all time favorite modern figures. Growing up, the first, and most used, Grimlock I had was the Pretender version. The Classics version just blended everything about that figure into a complete package.
I would pay DOUBLE to get a Voyager remake that refined the shoulders and improved the feet.

It’s also TWENTY years old, and is older now than Rodimus Prime was when he got his remake in Energon.

I have a few issues with Classics Grimlock that an update as a Voyager would absolutely fix, so I say bring it on.
