Gemini finds a grand total of three recommendations.

Finding a 100% "American-made" consumer router is difficult, as almost all home networking hardware—even from U.S. companies like Netgear and Linksys—is manufactured in Asia (primarily Vietnam, Taiwan, and Thailand).

However, following the FCC's March 23, 2026, ban on importing new foreign-made consumer routers due to national security concerns, the market is shifting. Below are the best options for home use that meet U.S. design, assembly, or compliance standards:

Top Recommendations for Home Use
  • Inseego Wavemaker 5G Indoor Router (FX3100 Series):
    • U.S. Status: Explicitly marketed as designed and developed in the U.S.A.
    • Why it fits: It is Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliant and FIPS 140-2 certified, meaning it meets strict government security standards often required for "trusted" hardware.
    • Note: This is a cellular router (5G/LTE), making it ideal if you use a mobile data plan for your home internet.
  • Netgear Nighthawk Series:
    • U.S. Status: Headquartered in San Jose, California.
    • Why it fits: While mass-production occurs in Vietnam and Thailand, Netgear is an American company that has aggressively moved its supply chain out of China to comply with U.S. security "Covered List" requirements.
    • Recommendation: Look for newer models like the Nighthawk RS700 (WiFi 7), which are designed to meet current U.S. security regulations.
  • Adtran (SD-WAN and Mesh Wi-Fi):
    • U.S. Status: Based in Huntsville, Alabama, Adtran maintains significant domestic manufacturing and engineering.
    • Why it fits: They are a primary provider for U.S. regional internet service providers (ISPs). If you want a router that is "Made in USA" to support domestic infrastructure, Adtran is one of the few with local production lines.

Netgear is an American company, but they don't make them here. Adtran doesn't make consumer grade equipment you can buy through normal channels, from what I can tell and Inseego's equipment is cellular based, not really stand alone routers.

Of these three, I'd consider Adtran the one to watch because they at least already have the means to manufacture such a device. If they're smart, they'll see this as a perfect opportunity to break into a new market.

But providing internet access to all those AI companies is SO much more profitable…

Broadcom could probably easily enter the market, if they felt like it.

Oh, and in case anybody's wondering this whole fight over funding the TSA is part of Project 2025 and it's going exactly to plan right now because they want to bust the union and privatize airport security in the long run.

I mean, she literally says the perpetrators will have financial ties to podcasters who promote divisiveness on behalf of foreign nations.
Which clearly describes "anti-woke" grifters (several of whom were exposed as being paid by Russia) more than anyone else.
