The title of this 4-koma is a direct callback to the Japanese title of the BW episode "Aftermath". It means "We're Back!"

Rattle is at first excited about the New Legends line coming soon and reintroduces both himself and the Legends World that he and his coworkers live in, hoping everyone remembers them.

He is then sad that no one remembers what happened seven years ago (which is when the first Legends line ended), and so he recounts the releases of Rise of the Beasts, Kingdom, Wild King, and other beast-based lines, which he sees as rivals to his own series.

Determined to do his best and not lose to those other beast lines, Rattle powers up both himself and his coworkers into their Metals versions from the sequel series Beast Wars Metals, but Cheetus just calls him a second-rate copycat, saying that this gag is exactly like when Rhinox (as Tankor) used his 80s Transformation Beam to turn everything into 1980s tech (which happened back in the pack-in comic included with Legends Tankor), an act which a repentant Rhinox nervously re-apologizes for.

With the others unimpressed by the Metals upgrades, Rattle then suggests they "Kingdom-ize", which then completely turns off both Convoy and Cheetus as they find Rattle's Kingdom form too scary like a real rat, with Cheetus insisting "Exterminate! Exterminate!" Airazor, meanwhile is unfazed and wishes the reader look forward to the New Legends line coming soon, while the pervy Tigatron sneaks a peek up Airazor's skirt (silly Tigatron seemingly forgetting that this Airazor is male, so he won't find much to his liking under there since this Tigatron is obsessed with girls).

I am oddly excited about this. It's not likely to be something I can consistently patronize, but it's great to have options. And I've gravitated toward things like Dramatic Capture more and more of late anyway.

But I'm especially excited for the possibility of more bonkers manga work.

Somehow I'm not optimistic.

I miss having an attention span. Even with translations I just get lost reading Legends manga. There's always so much going on.

This is one of my favorite things about it, and I can never keep up with it either. For the Selects stuff I had to pause every couple of panels and catch my breath. It's very much like a kid going through a VERY well-stocked toy box... after doing a couple of lines.

These days I am very starved for lore. And these generate so much per square inch that it's quite the experience.

So many thoughts...

One thing I don't get, which affected me at first: I thought manga was supposed to be read right to left?

...or did I just do the entire thing wrong, and it still somehow made sense?

I wonder who the rest of the 13 Primes are. Specifically, it's gonna be real awkward if Star Convoy shows up again.

Or would they call him Star Optimus Prime now?

Why are the Stunticons here? I mean, because of the toys, obviously, but story-wise? Shouldn't they be long gone by now?

Can't decide if a Cybertron reshaped into a semblance of the Matrix is cool or goofy... and it's strange that they say it's reshaped into a factory, instead of into a giant Matrix.

Funny, I thought Blue Bolt had taken that new form prior to this.

What did Leo Prime mean by "taking the form of an old friend"? Wasn't that his old body?

I like the inclusion of Delta Magnus here.

Love the inclusion of Orcanoch. Wonder why they left off his head, though.

Wild that they made the new Primes evil.

The deco on G2 Drag Strip looks different from that of Shadowstrip. Namely, Shadowstrip doesn't have a big G2 Decepticon symbol on the front of the car:

While G2 Dead End seems to have a slightly different flame pattern from the Toxitron Collection figure:

Leave it to TakaraTomy complete the job where Hasbro hasn't been able to in 4 years. At this point I can't imagine G2 Motormaster being something any retailer would want to pick up with how the rest of the Stunticons have been released or in Wildrider's case not released.

Could have been an Amazon or BBTS exclusive, or even just a Pulse exclusive.

Those are the only avenues. Even BBTS and Amazon would probably pass because of the aforementioned lack of limbs.

BBTS wouldn't carry it as their own exclusive now with the Legends version coming. It'd have to be a shared exclusive.
