I mean, the plan has always been eugenics. That's the inevitable goal of capitalism; why spend money on the "non-productive" members of the labour class?

Could be a very good thing. Recent polling indicates the Dems have a chance of taking a Senate seat there. Them choosing an even more unhinged candidate count shift those odds in the Dems favor

GUESS WHO GOT FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRED!?

And it gets better! She was fired....mid-speech.

Now the replacement is a spineless moron from Oklahoma so the chances of the Dems flipping that seat are....slim. Buuuuuuuuuuuut, it does make things harder in the Senate and drops the vote count by 1 so there's that.

Ironbite-still...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

You may test that assumption at your convinience.

I mean: trump appointed a republican. So of course the appointee is a coward, a jackboot and a lickspittle.

Edit: but I guess we finally found the line where glazing trump and "looking good" doesn't matter anymore.

Republican chat got leaked and surprise, it's very racist:
The secretary of Miami-Dade County’s Republican Party started a group chat primarily for conservative students last fall — and within three weeks it was filled with racist slurs, someone wrote dozens of ways of violently killing Black people and the chat was renamed after what one member described as “Nazi heaven.”

Yeah, but it took three whole weeks to turn very racist, so we should be praising them for their restraint is what I'm sure they're saying.

Peace president removes symbol of peace from US coin...... Seems rather on-brand at this point.

As I'm seeing it being passed around:
And paywall-free:

The way this article is written feels more like it's trying to sell me something rather than be informative. They don't seem to link to or provide said consolidated balance statements, so at this point, I'm reading the "insolvent" statement as coming from the authors' own conclusions, not the Treasury.

The disclaimer at the top does point out a possible reason why the sales pitch in the latter half of the article:
Steve Hanke is a professor of applied economics at The Johns Hopkins University and a member of the Board of Directors at the Federal Fiscal Sustainability Foundation. He is the co-editor, with Barry W. Poulson and John Merrifield, of Public Debt Sustainability: International Perspectives (Lexington Books, 2022). David M. Walker is the former Comptroller General of the United States and the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Federal Fiscal Sustainability Foundation.
If relevant, Walker was Comptroller from 1998-2008.

Technically bipartisan, but this seems kind of.... not really thought through. I can understand why someone with no technical knowledge thinks its a solution, but I don't see any good way TO do what they're wanting.. not to mention how do you monitor all those locations given how many are manufactured on a regular basis, if you can even solve the "how to track" bit? It may have made it out of committee, but hopefully someone with some sense will at least address the shortcomings, if that's even possible, before it can leave the House. Unless of course this is just an attempt to shadow-ban exports...
