Netflix's One Piece

This isn't technically Netflix-Piece related, but it's a big enough deal that I think I can cross-post this.

The One Piece...IS REAL!!!

Oda, the absolute madman that he is, has written down what the One Piece Treasure is and has sunken it down to the bottom of the ocean. Now...we just have to find it!

Anyone know anyone with a salvage boat?

Before getting a salvage boat, you need the location of the tressure as the sea is VAST, better start looking for the Red Poneglyphsm their likely scattered across Japan

I wonder how much you'd have to bribe one of those sailors who dropped it out at sea, in the first place?

Hmmm...if you wanted to get a crew together, you'd need:

A rich fan who can finance this whole operation.

A sailor who can actually steer the boat.

Someone who owns or can rent a salvage boat.

A deep-sea diver, to actually get at the treasure.

Someone who knows Japanese, so they can translate the message, if you ever find it.

A navigator, preferably one who knows the area and can lead us to the treasure, from the few clues we get in the video. We get a few flashes of a map, there are probably enough clues to lead us to the general area.

A mechanic, to get the treasure out of the contraption it's in. And repair the boat, if there's any problems.

A cook, because you're going to be out at sea for a while.

A doctor, in case anyone gets hurt.

And a musician, obviously.

Hmm...how much are tickets to Japan, again?

How far are YOU willing to go, for the ULTIMATE collectible?!

...Seriously, given how obsessed some of the super-fans are, there's a possibility this gets found by the end of the week.

Well, it seems like fans have already figured out a pretty solid general location for where it is. Never underestimate the nerds! Even if it makes a real-life treasure hunt WAY less exciting in real life.

There's a non-zero chance someone could find it by the end of the day.

Personally, I was thinking it could be around Kumamoto Prefecture. Since it was Oda's old hometown and all. Shows what I know!

....Anyone want to make any guesses about what it actually says, before we find out?

Personally, I do feel like even if it isn't a joke, it won't mean too much to us, right now. We still lack the context for what it will mean.

We'll still need to read the rest of the story, to really understand what it means.

...But, it doesn't hurt to guess.

I'm going to guess it's:

The One Piece is..."Binks sake". I really feel like Bink's sake will play a bigger role in the endgame of the manga. But, the big question is, "what are you meant to USE it for?" Personally, I think it's going to be used as a peace offering of sorts, to a group of people who have been wronged in the past. But...it COULD also end up getting used as rocket fuel! The Strawhats need a way to get to the Moon, somehow!

And.

Monkey D Luffy is..."reincarnating". I feel like there are hints that Luffy, specifically has had multiple past lives. Plus, Oda has been slowly making all his past work canon in the main story. We just got Gil Bastar as part of Rocks' crew. So...how likely is it that BOTH versions of Romance Dawn are actually canon to One Piece? As "past lives" that Luffy has lived through before, sometime in the distant past?

So, the note will say "Binks Sake" and "Reincarnating". Final answer!

It could well be what Oda put in that box, is just the lyrics for Bink's sake and the real ending to One piece is still locked in that draw in Oda's studio and this is just something to throw people off

I just finished watching the first ep, it was pretty good, I don't mind some of the changes they made, such as bringing in Luffy's biggest fanboy. The casting is pretty spot on and it seems like the actors playing the Strawhats, genuinely seem to enjoy their roles, of course, the guy playing Buggy also seems to be enjoying himself, thou I wouldn't want Buggy as my lawyer!! 😁

I'll carry on watching tomorow night when I have my evening meal as I plan to take my time about the series and enjoy it throughly

I have been barreling through season 2. I've still never seen a minute of the anime, but I presume that the anime is freer about its silliness. A lot of the silliness is sillier in live action just because it is live action, but I feel like if the show itself is even aware of how silly it is, it never, ever let's on.

Essentially, yeah. The anime knows how absurd things are but treats most everything as normal or serious because that's just like the standard really. With the Live Action show, and stuff having to have some level realism to be grounded in makes the silliness stand out more even when it is supposed to still just be normal.

At times it can be silly but its also quite dramatic as well as its adventure series that's not about the destination but the adventure to get there!

As I'm taking my time about the show, I just watched the first ep of the Drum Kingdom arc, Chopper, they definely nailed his smallest form look

I went to Google to make sure Hiriluk wasn't made up for the Netflix adaption. He wasn't. So...Mark Harelik's agent called him up a couple years ago and said "You're not going to believe this"

Potential S3 spoiler

I popped off so hard when they revealed Mr0's theme music used some of the Dvorak Symphony music that played in the anime when Luffy defeats him. I was wondering if they'd keep that in, as thats a certain level of wankery I don't expect. But its also such an iconic moment that whenever they show that scene and that song doesn't play it feels lacking.

Was the identity of Mr Zero done differently in the manga and anime? I didn't feel like it went right here. She's gonna tell who he really is and who he really is is someone I've never heard of. It felt like it was going to be someone I had heard of. Had the others heard of him?
