Thread of Thoughts, Questions (and Maybe Even Answers) That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

Amusingly, using my iPad on Safari on the hospital public network…the browser throws up a big warning about how the site might be impersonating the “Mbilia” website.
Feels fitting, I guess.

I'm surprised my computer isn't giving me any warnings. My last computer would have freaked out and probably BSOD'd.

I don't feel like making an account to correct math not mathing, but the $160 written on the wiki page doesn't add up. The other values fit so it's probably a typo or something.

I feel like this company is going to add a few extra zeros to that discount and ask you to give them back the difference.

y'all are saying this like htis isn't the FUTURE of transformers.

imagine a world where all toys are AI generated and can't even transform properly because it hallucinates new parts and joints that don't exist with each step

hug hasbro and takara we don't need them anymore

The scary thing is there ARE people who will pay in advance for a preorder of this sort of thing just to say they didn't 'miss out', even with all the indications that it's very likely a scam. I do wonder if Hasbro will be pulling these pretty quick.

So they're doing Optimus, Soundwave, Starscream, Megatron, and Bumblebee. All look equally bad.... but their website has terrible CGI videos for all of them.

They even gave Soundwave a stubby version of Megatron's fusion cannon and Optimus's helmet brim.

Welp, I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. Though, I'm kinda not surprised it was TFW who was the first to do it.

So, I've mentioned on here now and then that the infamous Binder of Revelation got leaked online last December, possibly by an ex-employee of Hasbro following the mass layoffs (which included John Warden) the company had back in October 2024.

In the time since the Binder's original leak, a few folks (myself included) had gotten their hands on copies of the document, but were presumably careful to not share the file publicly lest Hasbro take any issue with such.

But now, TFW2005 has thrown all caution to the wind and made full a news post about the leak, complete with a very publicly shared link for anyone and everyone to grab their own copy of the file.

We'll see how long this lasts if Hasbro asks them to take it down.

Hasbro lawyers are typically ferocious about these things for a little bit but they lose interest quickly.

Besides, it's on the internet. There's no unscrambling that egg.

I'm just stunned at the decision to make this into a whole thing. Really need those clicks that much?

Edit: more charitably, I wonder if they did reach out to Hasbro to clear it and were told "what? That thing? Didn't that already make the rounds when it first leaked?" and figured well, guess that's fine then.
