That’s a goddamn travesty.

“Leader” my ass, WTF being shorter than a modern Voyager?!

I get the feeling that DNA is going to have a field day with this guy's upgrades as the pictures aren't doing him much favours, I own a copy of the original toy and that is good figure with only one real area for improvement and that being the waist area! On this one, I would worry about yellowing as he got a lot of white parts

I'll wait for reviews, but since I currently only have the Nemesis Prime version of the original, I might be down. Even them being different sizes and builds would make sense, since Nemmy is supposed to be a clone that was tortured and broken into a slave by Unicron.

Why did Russ fold down Big Convoy's tusks behind his back? It creates a much less impressive silhouette when they're hidden away.

That’s a goddamn travesty.

Canonically, he's supposed to be equal in robot mode height to Pre-Transmetal Optimus Primal and Lio Convoy.

Ironically, his original toy was noticeably shorter than both of theirs.

Yeah, the "Big" in Big Convoy doesn't refer to his height.
Case in point:

Versus how the beast guys' bad-guy counterparts are typically much larger by comparison:

Also, I just realized that there's 17 villain leaders vs. 18 hero leaders in these pics because both G1 Optimus and G1 Rodimus are present while G1 Galvatron is absent because he's the same person as G1 Megatron and no body-upgrade duplicates are present.

So we DON'T have a Great Big Convoy, just a reasonably good but argumentatively short stocky one.

And weird price note, my other local Wal-Mart has started splitting the difference on prices, with $55 leaders, $28 deluxes, EXCEPT Brawn and Seaspray, they're $30. Voyagers were $44. Bizzare.
I saw the $30 Seaspray and Brawn at my local walmart and just kept walking along with the other increased prices. It was enough for me to put Alpha Trion back where I found him. Ive been collecting since Armada, so changes in price because of the change in times is nothing new. BUT....now that that $10 figure has risen to its current prices...yikes.

Oddly enough, both Brawn and Seaspray are $24.95 USD on walmart.com, while I don't normally advocate for buying online vs in-store, if they're jacking the prices in stores, may as well take advantage of the old price online while you can.

God, deluxes haven't been 25$ is decades. Canadian pricing sucks.
So when I moved to the States nine years ago I was kinda excited to have American prices as the norm for my collecting purposes. And hey that was cool for a bit.

Now? Everything's about as expensive as they've been in Canada for at least fifteen years. So whenever I see Americans complaining about paying these prices I'm like...
