Found Crystal Ball at Wal-Mart this morning. Only complaints is that he can't hold his crystal ball (another hand would fix this), and neck can't crank back for fully crazy mode.

Though the Ball and alt-head could make GREAT D&D props. Horn-headed Cthulhu has so much potential.

Another nitpick... open hand is articulated the wrong way. He can't really do the pose from his OG card art with present articulation.

At a convention yesterday was Maurice LaMarche, so I took this as an opportunity to get some signs in the second volume of the "G.I. Joe Field Manual" that covered the DIC series.

Wasn't planning this, as there was no entry for DIC Serpentor, but after he started the voice and the mannerisms of a character he did on a highly disregarded show from over thirty years ago, I couldn't NOT get his.

*Still bitter over the mess of TRYING to get Nemesis Enforcer and Pythona, so I've largely settled onto the ReAction+ versions of all them*

Plus a new Night Viper. I'm a little unsure of the redesign at the moment, I kind of miss the hip carrying mount for the rifle, but I don't mind the new weapon design. We'll see how the head sculpt turns out.

Plus a number of Classified figures are part of the "Sales Week" going on:
Night Force Falcon and Quarrel and Night Force Tunnel Rat are on sale at Walmart ($30 and $10 respectively)

Amazon has a number more, notable being many of the retro cardback troop builders for less than $20 and Slaughters Marauders Sgt. Slaughter for just over $21

Hasbro’s running a Flash sale over on Hasbro Pulse. Prices for the GI joe stuff is pretty close to where Amazon was pricing stuff, with some extra selections like Action Marine joining the Action Pilot/Halo Jumper at $26.94

Nightviper will be my first (probably only) classified figure. Was always more into Transformers, Jurassic Park, Star Wars, and AvP. Probably had fewer than 10 Joes, but one was Nightviper, and he was a go to main character for action figure adventures.

Just a broad FYI:
Walmart is seemingly keeping up the "collector display", it appears, and is even cycling products! I saw the War Machine/Omega Red Gamerverse set on clearance, and new stuff in the GI Joe section: Budo, Falcon and Quarrel, 60th Police, JoexTF Kup Triple T, the Dire Wolf set, Desert Scorpion, among other stuff. Oddly, while there were pegs for Classified in the display section at $27.99, the existing figures were still priced at $24.99 (and rang up as "Site Merch").
I found remnants of the last TWO waves, including the recent Battle Armor CC/91 Snake Eyes assortment.

So, if you haven't ordered, it might be worth it to check out the displays and see what Walmart has shoved out on them.

Hydro-Viper has pretty much been my Most Wanted Cobra since the line began. Must Own.

That Zartan is goofy fun for them to do.

-ZacWilliam, and Crazy Legs was one of my favorite Joes as a kid. Good showing for me.
