There were enough jews in germany at that point that they actually put up a fight when threatened. There aren't enough trans people in the world, never mind the US alone, to make a resistance movement when combined.

It's political theatrics to distract from something trump doesn't want to deal with. When he's threatening to take the guns away from black people, or republicans: then the shits about to hit the fan.

Yea. Pretty much this. There's MAYBE 2 million trans people in the US and that's including those who are still more or less closeted, like me, out of around 350 million people. It's one of the things that makes it easy to scapegoat us, unfortunately. There's been TWO incidents of a trans person committing a mass shooting over the past few years and in both cases there were circumstances OUTSIDE of their gender that likely played a bigger roll in them doing what they did. The most recent one had gotten sucked into the alt-right pipeline, which is much more likely to result in someone turning to violence than being trans ever could. They never want to bring up the fact that a trans person is roughly 4 times more likely to be a VICTIM of violent crime than your average citizen, though.

This is bait. He's just hoping Democrats will become discombobulated trying to figure out how strongly to come out in favor of gun rights.

The answer is obvious though. Whether you want stricter gun control or not and to what degree, specifically and openly doing it just for one targeted part of the population like this obviously cannot pass constitutional scrutiny. You can argue against this without referencing the Second Amendment at all.

Mississippi is already complicit in the regime, why would herr trump send the national guard?

BTW; that cuts both ways. The next natural disaster will also see you without national guard, and fema, or federal aid of any kind.

There are two options. Pay them to keep working, or allow the transfer and purchase of NFA items without the checks. The government is not allowed to shut down a constitutional right because they have budget concerns.

Yeah they are. This government has proven time and time again that it can shut down whatever constitutional rights it wants to. It just doesn't want to this time.
