I want more Snake Armor stuff from the 200X line! And Horde figures!
Yeah, I was so disappointed to see the initial slate be so “samey” to the other Cartoon collections in terms of character selection and “base versions”. It’s like, cool, we got a 200x Ram Man…but he’s not tremendously different than the last couple Origins version he’s got (outside of the wacky Crossover figures). And then you have Evil-Lynn and Skeletor which already GOT 200x inspired flavors in the existing origins line.
Mattel actually designed new “Snake Armor” variants for most of the cast of heroes, but I think most only appeared in the cartoon in a single brief episode appearance cameo, and fewer still even made it out in toy form before the line’s end (and mostly in Europe, at that).

I’m hoping we get a few Snakemen, at least, before Mattel moves on to another flavor for the Cartoon Collection. Kobra Khan and the Egyptian flavored King Hiss are my top pics.

Any out of package pics of 2002 Tri-Klops and Stratos? Re imagining 2002 Tri-Klops as the tech guy made him super awesome in my book. And the 2002 Stratos figure (Sky Strike version with arm articulation) was my favorite sculpt to play with. The Stinkor staction figure being based on his mold was great too.

I love samurai and ninja versions of other things, like Musha Gundam, etc. However, the original samurai MOTU figures were ugly things that looked nothing like samurai to me.
The cartoon (fittingly enough) put a lot of shine on those Samurai getups, though. Enough that for me, it's like "Okay, yeah, I wouldn't mind owning that."

Not yet, but all 3 were on display during SDCC, so there are plenty of images from that event floating around. Yes, TriKlops DOES get a Doomseeker drone, IIRC.

Speak, and images shall deliver:

Styled after the cartoon’s “streamlining” of the original toy design, it’s not nearly as extravagant as the original toy’s design. Given the lack of prior coverage, this could well end up a Walmart exclusive.
