Despite myself, I'm starting to talk myself into at least one framebiner torso. The thought of buying one thing and having a passable approximation of the combiner (a somewhat... Bare one) is not unappealing.
I'm planning to get Bruticus, I got Vortex already. I figure I wanted one with a range of modes, and Bruticus's legs aren't as 'flat' looking as Menasor and Superion.
Arghh that UW Baldigus is SO PRETTY!!!
And it’s going now for ~$700??! Each those sets better be imbibed with the blood of a lost soul of a virgin to be worth half a mortgage payment eww!!!

Definitely glad I picked one up. Good to know I have a mortgage payment sitting there if need be. 
I still have CW Defensor, for some reason it makes me really happy that the AOTP Bruticus's component bots will look quite different from the Protectobots, or my TFSS Thunder Mayhem I had before the medical mess last.
Those last pics are awesome, but still, let's be honest, a lot of bull. And the gorilla like knuckle walking gives Minotaur vibes.

Should probably get while the getting's good. They may go down a bit once the current generation becomes more available and more people start offloading their CWs. (Although the Legacy Stunticons have gotten similarly hard to complete, I think.)
Local collector store had UW Computron loose for $250. Kinda thought about it, but with Titan Omega Supreme's reissue coming up, my big toy budget is occupied.
Rathalos Prime is a decent representation of Rathalos but not a very good robot.
Robot mode is Optimus wearing the remains of Rathalos as equipment. This is on brand for the Monster Hunter franchise. He has decent articulation, being basically Kingdom Airrazor but the gigantic backpack gets in the way. The wing waistcoat is more than a bit clumsy and in general the robot mode has some wacky ass proportions.
Look at this dude. He looks like you went into The Sims character creator and played with the sliders. Big chest, tiny waist, long torso and skinny limbs. It’s supposed to evoke a human wearing armor but just looks weird. The wings help hide it a lot at least.
He has a sword and a shield made from the dragon mode tail. The sword is alright if a little small and the shield actually looks the part unlike most TF shields that are a random chunk of altmode with a handle. It pegs into the ports on the forearm but you can cheat a bit to have the shield be held forward but this has the wrist bent into a weird position that only looks decent from the front.
They can combine into an axe which credit due, does some actual transforming and reveals some new paint detail but still looks like the sheld stuck on the sword.
He comes with a matrix. Into the bauble box.
Dragon mode is where it’s at. Aside from the usual undercarriage problems most aerial robots have, not much to say. This was definitely the priority. It has some posability and can pull off some nice flying and swooping poses though some toe articulation realy would have helped, or even maybe sculpting them curved. Ground poses are always a bit awkward given the wings don’t have quite good enough articulation to do a quadrupedal pose. Ah well. Figure has a flight stand port on the robot butt/dragon crotch. Unfortunately does not have blast effect compatibility on the mouth or anywhere else for that matter.
Overall not a bad toy but has some very obvious problems. It’s about Voyager class in terms of mass so the pricetag isn’t too bad but I’d have reservations recommending it.

The proportions are a bit silly and the clunky skirt is a problem. And it looks like it might not be reconfigurable as a cape instead. Still, this has a great look. I wonder if the black and white one will be harder to get or more expensive; I haven't really been keeping up.
Between the Airrazor body type and the wings making a perfect armoured skirt, this would've been much better as a new femmebot. All she really needs is a new less-Optimus-like head. Maybe something based on the Mistress of Flame.
I don’t think it’d make a very good female robot either. At least not a relatively humanoid one. The torso proportions are just too bizarre.
The other one is the same price. It doesn’t seem to be exclusive or otherwise more scarce.

Thanks for that. It'll go on the "someday if there's room after the current list and these obscene bills". I do go back and forth between the colors because the Silver Rathalos sometimes reads a bit flat (I just like it as the apparent nonstandard option... Not really an MH guy). Either way, not a priority, but I'm quite appreciative of it being more Terrorsaur than Mindwipe as wing materials go.
Why not just make it a female Prime, in the style of Leo Prime or Big Convoy?
