Oh man, there some absolutely great ones in there! Big fan of your work.

Oh wow. Some of my favorite stuff from that era is on that page. (y)

Yeah, what a hell of a resume. That was a very interesting time and so many of these were eye-catching and/or memorable decos. I've always loved the life that offscreen/subline imprint redecos and retools would give a toyline and miss those a lot. And some of the "side" lines were the best parts of that time.

And oh, I would've loved that Downshift. I'm glad the Frumble mold saw a few rounds of release, but this was a real shame to not get.

Wow.. looked at the Wiki entry, and I've got a whole bunch of those figures!

The appeal of a G1 breakfast cereal would have had very little to do with the product's quality 😆

I mean, not necessarily?

You've got the licensed cereals that you eat once because you're a fan.

You've got the ones you eat more often because you're a fan and they keep making offers that you can't resist (Nintendo Cereal System).

You've got the ones that you eat a lot because you're a fan and it tasted good (Pac-Man).

You've got the ones that you eat a lot because you're a fan and it tasted good and maybe had lots of neat offers -- looking at you, TMNT).

And then you've got the ones that taste good, and you would eat it whether it had a license or offers or not (Pebbles, Ghostbusters).

see, my theory is that Thundercracker WAS Matrix compatible before he got turned into Scourge.
and the Matrix was trying to purge the Angolmois from Scourge and turn him into Thundercrackermus Prime. but the Unicron mojo was making the removal process as painful and horrifying as possible. but if Scourge had managed to hold onto the Matrix longer, the purge would have been completed.

I'd have gone with "Thunderous Prime," myself.

Seconded. I'm not a big fan of the movie aesthetic, but I would have bought that mold in every flavor of the rainbow Hasbro chose to release it in.
Some of those scout-sized molds, man. I genuinely would have bought Hubcap in any colors, I could have gone for another Skystalker or two, I would have bought a whole jasta of Ransacks.

Question: what sites do you typically use for preorders?

Many years ago, I used robotkingdom or HLJ. I used TF Source for a long while. I used to use Pulse all the time, but so often now, the perorders sell out too quickly for me.

I've been using BBTS for the past few years, but I'm getting a bit worn out with them. Preorders are always late, often by months. I see stuff in stores or in-stock on other sites, while BBTS is changing the due date to the next month.

Just curious what sites everyone uses for Transformers or other figures.

Mostly BBTS, though like you I've started getting annoyed with them, and how late some of their stuff can be.

Question: what sites do you typically use for preorders?

I order almost exclusively from places that have free shipping. It's gotten to the point where paying more than a couple dollars shipping if anything feels hugely wasteful to me and I can't do it. It's "no other choice" only.

Generally I pre-order from Amazon or Hasbro. Although my Hasbro Pulse membership just expired and I don't know if I can convince my brother to go half's with me on one again.

I tend to have constant net access and stay very on top of when preorders go up. I've missed things sure but that happening is a rare exception and usually I can snag what I want. (More frequently I'll place too many preorders just to be safe and then have to cancel a bunch for budget or other reasons before they ship.)

-ZacWilliam, that's the hard part for me. Making myself cancel a preorder if the item is otherwise sold out is tough for me to do even when I know I should.

I have used BBTS for many, many years, and still do. The peace of mind and attention to detail with packaging make it worth it for me, along with having items that I can't (or don't want) to get anywhere else. However, I do use Pulse and Amazon for mainline releases when I can, just to keep shipping costs to a minimum. I have used TF Source a few times over the years, but didn't really care for the experiences too much.

BBTS would be my no questions go to if their preorders got in on time. But so many of them just drag out....
Planning to make sure I have hobby money on hand when this stuff drops is a part of preordering and BBTS makes that harder than it has to be by not dropping when it says it will and then just waiting in limbo for months on end until it miraculously appears.

Customer service, packing, shipping, overall convenience? It's all top notch. But the preorder waiting game gets grating after a while.
