Won't Trump use tariffs and other pressures to make countries that host it stop? He's pressured Europe to stop taxing/regulating American tech-bros and Brazil for taking action against their own version of Trump...

About the tariff thing... It appears the courts may be getting ready to slap down his ability to arbitrarily set them. The tariff power granted to the president by congress was only to be used in very specific circumstances and the ones he put in place don't match them. He pressured Brazil and Brazil simply said 'bring it'. They are currently being subject to Trump's retaliatory tariffs. The more countries that don't back down, the worse it gets for Trump, especially if the appeals court doesn't side with him in the Tariff case.
Right now; trumps methodology is just do jive, let it hit the appeals court, and then push it to the supreme court where they will let him keep doing the jive while they mull it over... for months and months and months.
The appeals court will probably rule against him. That's just the law. The supreme court is absolutely rogue though: so they'll issue a non-answer that lets trump keep going, or overturn hundreds of years of precedence because it's ******* trump.

They should have used paint, not chalk, IMHO. Resistance has to cause the powers that be some level of discomfort to be effective. They won't even have to lift a finger to remove the crosswalk. A good rainstorm will do it for them... I'm all for marching as sign of solidarity, but we really should be at the 'aim to misbehave' part of resistance at this point. Whether that is in the form of vandalism(aka illegally restoring a memorial in this case), malicious compliance, keeping people informed of where ICE is or doxing government officials whom support the Trump regime. Pretty much anything short of actual violence, though if things keep going in the direction they are, we MIGHT have to resort to that as well.
I suppose they could make it a regular "festival" but then again, I'm sure De'Satan and cronies would just find an excuse to block the festival...
