So, I looked up a list of must play games if you like Cyberpunk. This and System Shock were high on the list, so they both went on my PS5 wish list...where they stayed...and stayed...and stayed.

But I cashed in a bunch points from the now defunct awards program (but they still let me use points already accrued.

So I was able to get trilogy on PS5 for two bucks. So if I only play this for ten minutes and get tired of it, still not too much wasted investment.System Shock is still on the wishlist.

Anyways, I know nothing about this trilogy yet. Can't wait to start this when I get home, though.

Anyway, crappy first post for anew thread, I know. But I've heard the title thrown around here and there, so I hope someone here has something to say.

Good choice, omae.

If this is the HBS trilogy(didn't know they'd ported it to PS5) then Dragonfall is the best of the three. Returns you can actually fully cap your chosen skills if you do everything so it can get a bit ridiculous near the end, and I just didn't vibe with Hong Kong quite as much. Good thing to know though is that all three are -completely independent- of each other, so you can play them in any order. The decking (aka hacking) mechanics also change between the games, though I can't recall if it's different in all three, or between which games it changes if it's only two.

It also has PS4 versions. Something tells me I'm going to have some slang to catch up on.

They're pretty good games for what they are worth. These play more like Baldur's gate 1 or 2, then like Cyberpunk or BG3.

My only complaint is that you can't do some stuff character creation stuff you could do in the actual game.

If someone makes a BG3 style Shadowrun I will be found dead at my computer having forgotten to eat for a couple days.

Yeah, but what insane asylum would you recruit to actually attempt that level of madness? We both know that Shadowrun's rulebooks are some of the biggest clusterfuck in TTRPGs.
