Sentinel Prime also has realistic end-of-movie mode. :)

I did appreciate that.

I donno. These things are fun. And manage to fill the "cute cheap desk toy" niche Funko Pops fill while actually being worthwhile.
Still... I don't know if I'm gonna feel any urge to collect these guys outside of the random few I find interesting. I don't need to be starting sub-collections of collections I already have.

Still, I appreciate the vibe and hope they keep doing what they're doing for the audience that digs them.

I still maintain that doing a wave or two in Action Master decos is the ultimate "complete the circle" move here.

I got three cases of Defender series today. I had not realized they were so much smaller than the ones I already had...no wonder three cases only cost me $100.

I think I like the defender size better than galaxy sized. They go really well with the titans in base mode.

The Defender Version aesthetic in general is preferable to me. Something about shrinking them down makes the stylization/art style change work better. And the faces are definitely preferable to the regular size ones, which tend to look oddly long or big for the helmets.

I've idly gotten a couple of Defender Version ones, and I quite like them. Really my main complaint is I wish they'd stop making vehicle mode ones, if they HAVE to be true blind boxes anyway. Or at least make those a separate series/wave. It gets the "let's sell them the same guy twice" without the annoyance of randomly getting a static truck or jet when you were open to literally any robot mode dude you could pose with the others.

Yeah, aside from Devvy and the Prime truck/scooter, I'm not big on the vehicle modes. I'd rather more little guys to play with.

I'd be interested if they want to expand the vehicle selection to other combiners as well. That's assuming it's possible to get the connecting pieces outside Japan of course. But otherwise, agreed, the vehicles mostly feel like wasted slots for me.

Ah, so I should expect to have six Constructicons and no Devastator once I finish opening my cases.

Sadly, the connecting pieces are a separate kit that isn't included in the normal releases. Much worse, there's apparently some sort of licensing issue. While Blokees can sell all the individual figures, they're restricted from selling the Devastator kit in all the same markets. I'm not clear if they can only sell it in China/Asia, or if it's specifically the US that they can't sell it in.

I got an order in at Show.Z on the day they opened orders for it. I saw that some of the people who ordered it that day received them pretty quickly, but mine still hasn't shipped. Really wondering if it's ever going to at this point. 😣

Sigh. I had finally found a perfect solution for storing the Blokees "pogs," an old pill bottle of just the right diameter and tall enough to store several dozen more.

Then I opened the Defender wave 2 box and found they'd changed to rectangular cards.

According to Robot Kingdom the next releases are as follows:

So glad we're finally getting Sludge. I've had the other 4 sitting here for over a year wondering when Blokees would quit dicking around and complete the set.

I'm curious if the listings for Hot Rod and Rodimus are accurate or swapped. They already did a Defender Hot Rod. Could be a redeco, or it could be this is supposed to be Rodimus to pair with his vehicle mode. Or could be that Hot Rod will be the Autobot potential chase figure, with Rodimus as the chase version. Either way, looking forward to both of them.

Yeah, Grimlock AND Hot Rod are in both Defender series 3 and this listing for Defender series 4. And altmodes are labeled as such. But you're right that chases aren't labeled, so maybe this will be a clear or metallic Hot Rod. Or maybe this is a mislabeled Rodimus, who's getting both robot and altmode figures in this wave (like SG Op from Defender series 3). Or maybe they're just doing a Hot Rod who'll have both his hands (and maybe a fishing pole). Either way, I've got the series 3 Hot Rod, so I can wait a bit.

(Again, just make the dang altmodes their own wave...)

Kinda funny that they still haven't gotten around to Hot Rod or Rodimus in any of the larger-scale lines until now, but powered through them by the third and fourth waves of the tiny series. Of course, Transformers across the years IS a lot of ground to cover, especially with the timely dipping into TF One and all.

That Unicron head is a tempting idea... but again, given the head/helmet aesthetic of that series, I'll wait to see what it looks like.

I have fallen prey to the cheap gamble of this series, and have wound up with two vehicle mode Mixmasters and a vehicle mode Scrapper. Whee.
