Bought a switch 2 since they had a decent installment deal with my credit card. Haven’t been able to do anything since downloading stuff took forever.

DK game is great. Now I kind of want to see a more serious ripoff featuring Hulk as a spiritual sequel to the PS2 era game.

How is that still the best Hulk game?

You'd think "giant green rage monster smashes everything in sight" would be an easy enough game to make, but.......

No, we need Spider-Man delivering pizzas for the Xteenth time, a remaster of Spider-Man delivering pizzas for the Xteenth time, Borderlands with an Avengers skin, a Wolverine game that requires him to use first aid kits and the worst MVC ever by every single metric.

Pre-orders are up for Console Heroes:
a mini-diorama line with 1.5” figurines. The current slate is styled after Sega Genesis carts, and has Super Street Fighter 2, Altered Beast, Sonic 2 and 3, plus a Genesis display console featuring a slate of villains like Mecha Robotnik, Mecha Sonic, Mr X (of Streets of Rage fame) and a Death Bringer (from Golden Ax). Those last two are probably teases for wave 2.

Nifty, Blaze Entertainment’s Evercade platform (a retro-oriented physical game ecosystem) just announced what is, presumably, the first in several collections featuring Rare (Donkey Kong Country, Battletoads, Killer Instinct, etc). First collection is due in November, heavily biased towards the company’s Spectrum ZX offerings, but still giving fans a pair of Battletoads titles (NES and Arcade), RC Pro-AM, Cobra Triangle, and Conker’s Pocket Tales.

I will be curious to see how future collections shape up. I’ve been following the platform for years, and I’ve yet to see the games exceed the PlayStation or Game Boy Advance in technical ability. Even though Evercade hyped the Piko Collection 4 release of Glover as the “first 64-bit game” on the platform…it’s pretty obvious to me that it’s the Playstation version, not the N64 version.

If nothing else, hopefully the appearance of Rare opens up other Microsoft Studios options, like Activision and id Software appearing on this system.
