Well think about it this way. Do you think Hasbro is ever going to pull the trigger on anything this good looking let alone anything besides a reissue of old Kenner RGB molds?
And this is the first time Boogie has gotten any sort of 1st party toy like this. I'm not fond of the price either, but I think it's worth it to have one of these for what was one of my favorite episodes of the series.
Well, there's no reason Plasma Series couldn't have put out RGB figures, as far as I can tell. Apparently the Mondo deal had a requirement for their figures to be $100+ so hopefully that means something.

Well, I am an idiot, I was trying to figure out why the 1984 pack and wand looked less beat up than the Spangler one, and it only just now clicked in my head that it's the pack as it appeared IN 1984, not one left over from that time.

...This is why I am not in charge of marketing.

To be fair. there were some reveals from Hasbro in NYC over the weekend that get the RGB crowd hyped. Platypus Prime had it on the previous page with SDCC 4 Pack Ecto Glows and an Ecto Glow Ecto 1 coming. What wasn't there but teased was Ecto Glow versions of Stay Puft and Slimer, And the previously unreleased Ecto Copter and Ecto Glow Louis Tully.

That said, it's still nothing completely new here. They dusted off designs Kenner did or had waiting in the wings. Not much in my eyes, but others will be over the moon about it. Despite wanting those classic RGB toys for most of my life, once the reissues came out around Afterlife, my adult self just couldn't enjoy a 5 POA figure with passable likenesses. Mondo is still getting me for at least 4 Busters and 3 large ghosts right now since they are the ones bringing what I've wanted out. I'll pay out the butt for it, but at least I know I'll see the figures I want now.

Ooh, I might be an easy mark for a GITD Marshmallow Man...
