Oh, there will be a new Unicron eventually. I do think it's still too close to the HasLab for it to be realistic at this point, though. It's going to be a while yet. Mark's interview over at TFW2005 all but confirms that, I think.
"Yet" is pretty variable when it comes to Hasbro timetables. Again, we've seen Hasbro deny stuff (even stuff that ended up found at retail) right up to when they were ready to "reveal" it.
Honestly I'm just thrilled to have any form of official Bumper. The new head is enough for me and the yellow is supposed to be the same as BBs.

-ZacWilliam, now do the Throttlebots, Sedan, Glyph, Tap Out, Stinger and Wasp
The Throttlebots should come from the Earthrise Cliffjumper mold, so they keep their "hoods".

That's where I am. It would be nice to have a better Bumper, but I'm not kidding myself. I want a Bumper, and it's not because his design is so interesting that I must have it represented accurately with all its specialness. I want a Bumper just for the absolute oddity of his existence. This is lame but I'm satisfied.

I understand that Core Class is dead but they really should have used the Buzzworthy Bumblebee Bumblebee and Spike 2-pack mold where he literally just transformed into Bumper's alt mode for some reason lol.

Q: Is Lugnut in consideration since he won the HOF, and if so what size class would he be?
A: My gut guides me. It tells me that a Leader scale Lugnut would accomplish what’s needed for the character.

Q: Will Commanders mostly just be combiner torsos for the foreseeable future or will there be other things?
A: I think you will be seeing two Commanders sooner than later to disprove that theory! (wink!)

Wait, what?

One of those has to be the second 2026 commander, but where's the other one supposed to pop up? (Unless he's not counting Longhaul and Hook, even though they are a torso as well)

Wouldn't one be Onslaught and the other be the unknown non-combiner that he's alluding to?

I could see how you could interpret the statement as both of them not being combiners but with the listings, it’s clear that only one of them isn’t.
I don't see how. He said two commanders to disprove that theory, which implies that both commanders will be doing that. He didn't say two commanders, one of which will disprove that theory.

That said, I just realized he could be, and probably is, talking about a 2027 commander. Getting a splat of listings recently kinda biased me towards his answers being about 2025/2026. If Generations 2027 is the protectobots, and if they don't do Infernicus or Dragonstorm (or don't do them as frame combiners) in studio series then there will probably be a non-torso commander that year.

Unless they do the titan/commander swappy thing they're doing in 2026 again, but I don't think they will.

With the knowledge that Onslaught is one of two upcoming commanders, i interpreted the statement as “yeah we’re getting two commanders soon and that’ll prove they’re not all combiners.” If one of them were a standalone toy, that’s enough to show they’re not all combiners.

This was how I read it too. One is sufficient to rule out "all are x". But I can see how the mention of "we'll get two commanders" might seem to suggest two to do so.

Maybe someone could ask him what he meant. He is not at all evasive when asked direct questions.

There's no reason to bring up two commanders to answer that question, though? He would have just said "I think you will be seeing a commander" and not "I think you will be seeing two Commanders."

And again, he's probably not just talking about 2026 which is where the confusion stems from.

Maybe to hype that we’re getting more than one commander for the first time. I’d think that if he were referencing stuff after 2026, he wouldn’t be saying sooner than later.

I dunno, it’s just not a very well phrased answer.

We've gotten multiple commanders for three years now; he didn't mention anything about what line those two would be, or even hinted at anything different in that way.

And I feel like it's perfectly well phrased unless if you're going in with the preconceived idea that only one commander is a non-torso/that he's specifically referring to Onlsaught and Commander 2, and try to work backwards from there.
