It was delivered. Now to wait for my next visit there or to figure out the shipping to here.

Also, FedEx did just dump it on the porch.

For those who received it, what mode is Optimus packaged in? I need to walk somebody through crack examination.

NVM, found an unboxing video. Truck mode. This is gonna suck.

Got my set. No cracks, but I'm not gonna even try to force that joint. Time to get the tools.
Might be wiser to wait a moment and see if Hasbro offers something for this?

They were telling people to send them back and giving them shipping labels, but stopped when they saw how widespread it was, from what I've heard. Hopefully they're not just leaving it at that.

Hasbro would probably send out a front torso with widened “fins” out if anything since that would mean the least material and modification on the owner’s part. This may render a modified gray t-bar loose but unless the new part is hugely widened, it should be fine. Reviews show that once the transformations are completed in all modes, there are other means of locking the torso in place.

That said if they do something else, it may impact that solution and need more DIY modifications.

Omega Prime is just cursed probably

I'd recommend opening him up. If you do and he's not cracked then some relatively simple toy surgery will fix the issue. If he is then you should be able to get it sorted relatively quickly with Hasbro.

Hasbro don't seem to have any functional replacement program yet, so they've probably got a few more weeks.

I think it's kind of a waste of time shipping them out at this point, and wonder if Hasbro UK don't even bother and wait for replacements.

No word from them but I think they do the packing at the factory and the UK branch is mostly offices and a warehouse to handling shipping to retaillers and customers across the UK and its likely the same in other countries, but we'll see what they are going to do with the replacement parts but hopefully QC gets increased for LioKasier production!

They had to replace so many Victory Leos I have to imagine it rendered the entire project loss making and they didn't do anything, so I'm not holding my breath.

Though I've skipped LioKaiser, so I don't have to put up with this nonsense any more.

Don't worry, all of us are having to come to terms with Optimus having a serious crack problem, and the plastic surgery he needs to get that sorted out. Doesn't help that his wingman needs it too or he could go to pieces.

On a happier note, post sanding mine is holding up fine, and I realized something. Blocky proportions, clear plastic, risk of discoloration, iffy tolerances needing user intervention... The Omega Prime set and the Origins Autobot trio have the same design philosophy, and I will be using them in place of the Car Brothers I don't have anymore. I need to get a picture tomorrow.

I would say how I'd just wait for them to release them in POTP 2 Electric Boogaloo but now it occurs to me that that would mean being stuck with the Legacy Sideburn. Ugh.

Just checked, and yep, I've been lucky, NONE of my known problem-bots have a crack issue, even on the clear bits.

They also never skip leg day.

Edit: AND HIS HANDS MUST BE BLUE!!!

Edit to edit: odd thing, I set aside some blue 'Jetfire' type blast effects, but the fire truck nozzles don't fit them. Are my blast effects goofed, or ate the nozzles just a strange size?

Well, I finally opened up mine today. There was no damage, either internal or external, to the torso area, but I nonetheless still did the sanding fix to the sliding mechanism. Everything seems to be in full working order, now.

It's a really good set overall. Very similar to the original, but not only far more lightweight but also far more stable and secure in each figure's distinct configurations. My only real gripes are some nitpicks that otherwise don't ruin the set at all.

Emgo just posted his review of Prime, it's not just me, the firetruck nozzles aren't blast-compatible. The missiles ARE, so weirdly, I can use the effects I set aside with those, but the most logical 'water' spray points won't work for it. Too bad, I really thought they'd be great.

Are there any points on the sirens to pull off the Blaze Blaster?

Everything I've seen tells me that this would have been a home run of a set if not for the major QC issues. Which really, really sucks.
Hasbro needs to get this under control if they want HasLabs to remain viable.

I worry that tariff uncertainty will make HasLabs in general unviable for the next few years. Who's going to want to commit to projects that cost hundreds of dollars and won't ship for a year or more when tariffs can swing by more than 100% in a matter of days on a whim?

I would still really love quite a few potential HasLab projects. Off the top of my head, Primus (especially as a grand finale to AotP), Monstructor, and God Ginrai have all been on my radar as potentially great HasLabs. But would Hasbro be willing to foot a potentially huge bill if tariffs shoot up for whichever country they choose to assemble them in the next year? Will they be willing to ship all the parts to a different country for final assembly to bypass those costs (and will that even work)? Would they be willing to just stuff them in a warehouse for a few years to wait out the tariffs, and hope that all their buyers don't demand refunds? Or would enough people still back a project if it were built into the terms that they would be responsible for whatever tariffs might occur?
