But hopefully, this low end Zorin distro I got will make this old $100 Lenovo special from 2018 (I think?) into a meaningful platform to dick around with Linux and be a Retro/DOSBox emergency entertainment machine. I love the form factor, but it NEVER had either the RAM or storage for Windows 10 (much less 11) and no way to upgrade RAM. But for playing old games? It should be more than enough.

I'm not afraid of a command line. I spend my weekends with a command line. But when I'm installing something in DOS, I usually just type "install".

Tbf this is also from the same company that just outright tells you that the Jagex Launcher and Jagex Accounts (which, in the future, will be required to use to play both OSRS and RS3 - as opposed to just having to have two separate standalone clients) will not be supported on Linux.

Of course, to their credit, they do link to someone's Github that has several community projects designed to allow for the usage of the Jagex Launcher and your Jagex Account on Linux as well as a discussion thread on the official OSRS subreddit about getting it to run on Linux. (Basically there are a couple of third-party repackagings of the official launcher and a native third-party launcher, I use the latter because I just couldn't get the repackagings of the official launcher to work properly)
