IIRC, the Fall of Cybertron combiner was the seed of the theory I alluded to. I had forgotten there was anything official that supported it. (IMO it works pretty well separately, though RiD is such an oddball series that it's nice to have some corroboration.)

Ok. I don't recall seeing any sightings, and I think I only saw the mass retail version once. Leaders are frustrating. Either they sell out fast or they never get ordered (hard to tell the difference!) or they hang around for a loooong time.

Regarding another Target exclusive-- did their SS-86 Megatron ever come out? I never saw it, but I still see the Optimuses. (And I've seen the Insecticon pack.)
