I still like the theatre experience! You can reserve seats now, the chairs are more cozy than ever, and there are Coke Freestyle machines so you can customize your drink.
It's really starting to feel like the live action TF films are "too big to fail" with Paramount. Same with GI Joe it seems, aren't they developing a new one of those too, even though noone really liked the previous ones (though they had their moments)?
It was mentioned by a fan question iirc, and they said "maybe" they'll do it (while smirking), acknowledged the base molds already exist, and with a reassurance that if they do it, they won't be dinosaurs. I choose to interpret this as if they do it, they will be heavily remolding the core...
Having a small Monstructor is great for folks like me that are nostalgic for the toy scaling, and the base molds are already there (with the combiner part remolds) so it would be a crime not to use them. They could still do a full sized one later :) I'm sure an Abominus redo is on their radar.
I dunno, I really liked the premise of using a lot of the toy-only characters for their own story in the first IDW BW series. You could even get them off-world for some alternate hijinx, or even have them starting out as a rescue mission set during season 1, but they somehow end up in a...
I'm still not sure how they could cram so many play features into a deluxe toy, but so many of the other 13 figures feel more like regular figures (Onyx & Megatronus aside).
For the 13 relics situation, I'm reminded of the Throne of the Primes, so it's possible someone will come with a cardboard "well of sparks/kiddie pool" with slots for the relics to slot into. What would have been REALLY neat, would be if all the relics had a clear crystal bit in it, and a well...
Yeah, the test shot they showed was a washed out, almost forest green, when it should be a BRIGHT green. Definitely not matchy with Grimlock, but they usually mention if a test shot's colours are vastly different from what they feel the final product will be, and they didn't bring it up here. At...
Wow, I am LOVING the look of Flatline! I've always felt Armada Red Alerts legs were waaaaaaay too long, but when it's all in black it's much less noticeable. Loving all the translucent red, new head sculpt is nice, different paint deco, and all the hand/gun attachments remind me of his spiritual...
Well, there's no reason Plasma Series couldn't have put out RGB figures, as far as I can tell. Apparently the Mondo deal had a requirement for their figures to be $100+ so hopefully that means something.
