Legends scale (officially, at least) died for good reason. No need to bring it back.

While I recognize that there are a lot of deep cuts that we probably wouldn't get at Core/Legends scale, the proliferation of 3rd party lines in Legends and even Micromaster scale would indicate that there is demand for smaller Transformers figures.

Now, we could argue about how Hasbro handled the scale at retail, or how retailers failed to support the size class with precious shelf space, but I don't think a few one-off sets in the scale would be out of line for those of us who actually want them? Particularly things like the Seekers, which have plenty of redeco/retool potential.

I'm not sure that a line of Core/Legends scaled, simple-to-transform figures but with main-line flavored details and styling couldn't succeed as the Kid-Focus / Entry Level toy line. Cyberworld is close, really. If those figures had elbows, you'd basically be there.

Meanwhile, I"m over here still with my original set of CHUG Seekers...
I've actually been thinking about selling off my CHUG Seekers. I really do need to thin out my collection a bit and the ER and Siege Seekers are more what I am looking for in my display.

Which was why I specifically mentioned 'officially'....

Hey look, Studio Series 86 Hound! He’s part of the MTMTE 86 collection, exclusive to Target. Looks to be a repack of the Autobot Multipack from a couple years ago. Which I’m not sure is a bad thing, given some of us skipped the pack due to not double dipping on stuff we already head to get ONE (or two) new/improved figures.

I was hoping it would be the original deco with the clear windows, since that would go better with all the rest of the figures he'd line up with on my shelf. Oh well. One less temptation to spend money I shouldn't be spending.

Oh wow! Hound is STILL an American exclusive? How very HELPFUL of Hasbro to do that. It's almost as if they've been carefully listening to the fandom and then done THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE.

It's like they didn't just "help the fans" by releasing a slew of previously-exclusive molds at general retail, in Soundwave, Dirge, Ramjet, Cosmos, Galaxy Shuttle, Origin Bumblebee, Decepticon Crasher, and so on.

It's like releasing an exclusive on its own rather than as part of a five-pack isn't helpful in the least.

It's like Target wanted to get one more use out of a mold and deco they'd already contracted to use as an exclusive.

It's like "helping the fans" isn't the point of running a business.

In one of a handful of countries perhaps, and/or via a specific retailer.

That's hardly "helpful" or good business sense.

Also, another fan at another site summed this up perfectly:

This just in: if a store isn't located exactly where you are, it's an "obscure corner store in Botswana"

ITT: person discovers stores and their exclusives exist independent of them and their circumstances

I wonder if he'd get mad if I got this salty in a thread about any of the many Japanese exclusive lines. If he hadn't blocked me, I mean.
Yeah. I'll take his kvetching seriously when I can buy Wild King figures at Target.

Personally, I've never had an issue finding Target Exclusives instore, and I'm in Bumf*ck, GA.
Same. Target is really good at getting their exclusives out there. Now Walmart on the other hand...

I know you've blocked me so I don't feel bad about this...

Listen you self-entitled schmuck. The Earth mode Hound mould was original released in a Target-exclusive five pack. It's very possible that Target has "dibs" on this mould and so Hasbro chose to release it again in a Target-exclusive subline.
Pull your head out of your ass for five seconds and maybe you'll realize that these decisions aren't made with screwing you over in mind.

A shocking revelation, sure, but I trust you're enough of a big boy to weather that storm.

Walmarts near me either get buried in their exclusives and have them lingering around for months, or they never get them at all. There is no overlap.

Of course, three of the four Walmarts closest to me only stock Swapticons and Cyberworld anyway, so it's not like they're any better for regular releases either.
