I'm glad people that want a pinker Hot Rod are getting it but the initial release is an anemic red enough for me and the "he used that thing once in that scene" accessories don't really draw me in.
For me... I'd actually prefer the red on the initial release but... man... I've always lowkey wanted that shield and lightsabre legally distinct laser sword.

Am I going to drop Voyager prices for two accessories? I wish I could say "definitely not."
But... well... here we are.

The patch of unpaintable yellow plastic on his car roof is also gone, making for a much more cohesive vehicle mode roof.

That did indeed work a treat. Split it up between POTP Rodimus and a POTP Dark Hot Rod custom... reminds me I need to get around to ordering a sheet already for my SS86 custom. Missed the Black Friday thing, sigh

Considering it's Hot Rod, both the fishing rod and Matrix also apply for this.
And he also includes his iconic hammer twin blaster guns he never even used he's all the time using.

I missed out on the first version, so I'm excited for this one. Hope I can get it.

The 15th anniversary Decepticon pack isn't too bad yet a missed opportunity to do a pristine silver vaccuum Megatron Megatron, blue soundwave and burning fallen calling back to the latter two's Toys R Us and Target exclusives.
I also wonder if we'll see a 86 40th anniversary set this year with some removal of the transparent plastics for opaque. Maybe red vaccuum 86 commander Optimus and silver vacuum 86 leader Megatron.

I don't think this is what people mean when they say they want figures to have "weapon storage"...

bafkreibuwtskekce4mzooshfnonzbt7hkji2bc43hs5ziignmnmjhqyr3u@jpeg

This is storage in the same way as putting a pan on the stove is storage.

Edit: huh, the return of a burnt-out cityscape a la Classics. 20th anniversary! (Crumbles into dust and blows away)

What's sad to me is that most weapon storage since RiD 2001 hasn't really been much better, even with wholly original designs.

And I mean, I'm not going to fault them for the sword, shield, and fishing rod here, since those are new. The guns could do that on the original and Targetmaster, so fair enough, I guess. So that leaves the saw...
