That and he was somewhat short in the Classics era. With the advent of Studio Series Optimus and Megatron, he's downright puny.

whenever i mess with these figures, it blows my mind when i remember the molds are originally from 1994. legit all they need to have 'modern' levels of articulation imo are wrist and thigh swivels and ankle tilts.

Fangry is getting another go-around next year, right? Just need updates for Goshooter (transtector, i do have the Siren Titan Master, just forgot to get it out...) and Cab and I'll have the whole crew!
I'm thinking the Titan Master versions will be the Nebulan Headmasters while the heads that come with the figures will be their Masterforce characters when they aren't being noggins.

A while back ToyHax made a sticker and mask set for "The Fallen" from CW Trailbreaker, which I tried to improve a bit with better weapons and some minor repainting of the silver to a 'worn bronze' look. Fast forward several years, and I got Megatronus, and decided to do the exact same thing to it. I will claim one is the Fallen and the other is Trailbreaker's Halloween costume. Wow, Trailbreaker sure has grown since the 80's...

Also, since Omega Prime is back in the news, I worked out a way to arrange its parts to give him underslung arm guns (since I use their positions for the big 'Weapons Pack ' Optimus rifle, and it can also let the slightly modified Animated axe mount under his arm since Omega's hands can't hold it well.

Sorry, let me clarify:

Just need updates for Goshooter that weren't a Japanese-exclusive mailaway and going for $200+ on ebay currently (transtector, i do have the Siren Titan Master, just forgot to get it out...)

If I could buy Goshooter for around regular Deluxe retail (probably less than $35), I would buy that one, but as prices currently stand? Gonna have to hope the brand team wants to take a crack at finishing the Autobot Headmaster Juniors to complete my set.

Apparently Takara wanted to do a buggy and Hasbro looked at what they had planned and said "what about Elita/Minerva?"
I can't remember where I read it, but I definitely remember reading that Takara requested that they be able to do a certain type of alt mode.

Alas, one T30, one Legacy, one does not exist, all non-Headmaster gimmicked. Hopefully they get the treatment the smaller Decepticon Headmasters got later on.

I would be fine with non-Headmastered Transtector versions, but like Viola pointed out, with the Decepticons hewing so close to the originals, Minerva kind of sticks out (and I am perfectly happy with Legacy Minerva, don't get me wrong!)
Meanwhile, Cab/Hosehead is sitting in a corner, wondering when someone at Hasbro or Takara will remember he exists...

Also, insert obligatory "when will Super7 or someone similar make figures for the human casts of these shows?" comment here. Because at least half the time, these characters didn't look all that transformery.

...come to think of it, I miss those box sets they did for this line. Like a capsule you buy all in one go. And they had some neat choices for what to go in there!
