Cartoon accuracy and TFWiki strike again. This is the only picture on the wiki of this character from the cartoon and I'm 100% sure that's why they went with mangled face.
We only see the broken face for literally two seconds in the cartoon. Maybe if they had actually watched the episode, we could have gotten his extend-o arm.

Or maybe, just maybe, Mark instead chose to give it the mangled face simply because he wanted to immortalize a memorable part of the character's single episode appearance?
I like that it has the mangled face. Definitely sets it apart. Although there'll be times I crave something less distinct (or something with a silver faceplate to break up the sea of dark navy), so I may get one of those Achai heads for the Armada mold.
NGL, this isn't doing it for me. I was hoping he'd have his trailer and, at the very least, a swappable head for one with a faceplate, since I never got the regular Optimus version.
I mean, I might not have gotten this one, either, but there would have been more of a shot that way. I'm just kinda disinterested.

A swappable head would up the value of this for sure. Even if they used the dumb "swappable front half of head" thing from the Buzzworthy army builders.

I, unironically, want to see something derived from the Costco exclusive deco.

I'm craving a ton of early 2000s stuff really. Sam's Club Prowl (Red Alert) and Starscream. Costco Optimus Prime. Universe 1.0 Primal and Silverbolt. Cryotek. We're getting Razorclaw. Battle in a Box Magnus, Smokescreen (Hot Shot). Checkpoint and/or Wrecker Hook (from Scrapbook?).
I'm craving a ton of early 2000s stuff really. Sam's Club Prowl (Red Alert) and Starscream. Costco Optimus Prime. Universe 1.0 Primal and Silverbolt. Cryotek. We're getting Razorclaw. Battle in a Box Magnus, Smokescreen (Hot Shot). Checkpoint and/or Wrecker Hook (from Scrapbook?).

At first glance the Tidal Wave wings look like Megatron's got his arms out, going "Really, lifting a guy into the air? Really?"

Big Convoy should be good (I hope) along with the combatacons
Big Convoy looks GLORIOUS.
I think, as a whole, the first wave of 2026 has a nice robust “flavor” to it. I think the Combaticons having more unique designs helps the slate not look so samey. I’m bemused to see Junkions return, but Jolopy looks nice and they hit Wreck Gar out of the park. Of all the OG Autobot Targetmasters, I think Sureshot might have ended up the best.
Amalgamous and Quintus both scratch that “weirdness spot” that I have that Beast Machines also scratches. I’m astonished at what they appear to have accomplished with Amalgamous at the price point.
I have love for Razorclaw, so we’ll see how the final deco looks. *sigh*. Might be another Leader case order…

I have no interest in Razorclaw, but I have a powerful need for that mammoth. Might even buy 2, one to keep sealed.
The primes look unique and interesting and fun and I can't wait to get them.
Not that keen on the junkions as they're just repaints/minor retools, but i'm sure i'll grab them eventually.

Giving Blastoff the toy chest but stupid painted forehead is certainly a choice. Mold looks good though, I can fix that easy.
Quickstrike looks about as you’d expect.
Brawl looks great and is armed to the teeth.
Wreck Gar looks good, and I prefer the garbage truck to motorcycle as an altmode for Junkion leader.
Big Convoy looks great but too bad mammoth mode doesn’t look to have any added articulation. Derpy eyes too but that's easy enough to fix.
