Walmart "Transformers Retro" line (G1-based redecos/retools)

Definitely want that Bee. I like the yellow and have Goldbug, so this will fit nicely. Gears is cool. Don’t have the Legacy one yet, so this gives me a choice.

SS86 Bee is good and does have a better transformation, but i do like the real of toon chibi Beetlebug mode.

Hasbro Pulse has preorders up for these two (plus other Walmart stuff).

I snagged a couple Bumblebees. What can I say, it's working for me. And I certainly trust Pulse when it comes to a preorder more than frickin' Walmart.

I wish I could 3-D print a decent Pretender Shell for this Bumblebee, he looks like it would work and the mold's so compact, it wouldn't have to be huge of someone wasn't picky about what mode it was in inside the shell.

This could be a good way to get Beachcomber out again-- that wave had *terrible* distribution.

(Devcon might be a little tricker. But that would be fun-- G1/reissue-style repacks of characters that didn't have G1 toys. Call
it The Lost Series or Secret History or something.)

Seaspray looks dang good, and since I've opted not to renew my Pulse Premium, that means I'll have a bitch of time getting one.

I can't remember. Did Seaspray ever show up in the upcoming AotP listings, or was he only ever associated with the retro line? I assume he'll probably show up as a general retail release at some point, just wondering if we have any time frame for it.

Either way, I'll probably be getting this. I'd prefer a darker blue, but I doubt any other changes they might make would be any big deal for me.

Took me a minute to realize it wasn't, too. I've been skipping a lot of the minibots that I already had a good representation of from TR, so I don't know that I'll pick this one up? It does look good, though.

These are nice but I don't think either are "must buys" for me (Seaspray especially seems...pretty close to the TR version??). Happy for those who maybe didn't get a Seaspray on the first go-'round or really want a toy deco Brawn though.

If Bumblebee couldn't get a new head, this line must have a brutally limited budget for retooling. So I'll forgive the claws. For the limitations they have, this looks great.

Could this line do something besides Minibots though? Prowl? Hound? Seekers?
