They definitely rotate as they are in different positions in robot and bull mode, so I'm guessing they're just 5mm ports.

My two repaint concepts:
SS86 Megatron in early Marvel UK colours, as in gold torso and arms and silver buckethead. With squiggly “chest hair” detailing.

Earthrise/SS86 Starscream in 2001 eHobby black, charcoal grey and bronze colours. Really good deco we’ve sadly never seen repeated on any modern figure release.

(I lack any skills at using Photoshop or similar programs.)
