It's Dracula's moon base. He has a moon laser, too, but most people don't care for it when he uses it. You have to ask specifically and politely.

What, and I cannot stress this enough, the hug?!

Texas lawmakers trying to muzzle campus protests have just passed one of the most ridiculous anti-speech laws in the country. If signed by Gov. Greg Abbott, Senate Bill 2972 would ban speech at night — from study groups to newspaper reporting — at public universities in the state.
Ironically, the bill builds on a previous law passed in 2019 meant to enshrine free speech on Texas campuses. But now, lawmakers want to crack down on college students’ pro-Palestinian protests so badly that they literally passed a prohibition on talking.
We’re not exaggerating. SB 2972 would require public universities in Texas to adopt policies prohibiting “engaging in expressive activities on campus between the hours of 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.” Expressive activity includes “any speech or expressive conduct” protected by the First Amendment or Texas Constitution.
The overnight ban on expressive activities is unfathomably broad. Off the top of our heads, here are just a few examples of what such a policy would prohibit on campus between 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.: Meeting with other students to socialize or study, writing an email, working on a research paper, posting on social media, reporting for the student newspaper, wearing a T-shirt with a slogan, dancing, playing music, painting a picture, or praying at a sunrise service.

People are horrified after a sitting senator mocked the deaths of a Democratic lawmaker and her husband, who were assassinated over the weekend.

“This is what happens When Marxists don’t get their way,” wrote U.S. Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) on social media, along with a photo of the alleged killer.

Local Minnesota news outlet KARE interviewed Boelter’s roommate and alleged best friend, David Carlson. Carlson said that Boelter was a strong supporter of the president, despite numerous right-wing social media posts by transphobic billionaire Elon Musk and other conservative politicians claiming that Boelter was a left-wing “Marxist” because he once served on a bipartisan board under Gov. Tim Walz (D).

Democratic groups and lawmakers, as well as some conservatives, expressed their disgust for Lee’s comment, which both makes light of these tragic deaths and spreads misinformation.

“He is one of YOU,” wrote Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA). “Get A Life.”

As desensitizing as it is, it should keep getting called out and denounced. They want us to just get used to it and tune it out so they can get even worse. Keep calling them on their jive.

Don't try looking for logic in a MAGA statement. You'll give yourself an aneurysm and the statement still won't make any sense.

It doesn't have to make sense. It just has to be the first message out and have enough buzz words to keep the cult on target. All they hear is "bad thing happened something Marxist something" and that's enough.

wonko the sane?

You may test that assumption at your convinience.

I guess nothing came of it then, cause the article is a few days old, and the no kings protests are currently over. Apparently, they're planning more for the 4th.

Not a bad thing if nothing came of it at least... wonder why it shows updated on Monday though, but doesn't look like it has any updates in regards to that weekend.

I worked security that weekend. I was very worried that it would be a bad weekend. It was, but not because of the protests. They were all very well behaved.

A friend posted a clip on Facebook and then I saw another as a reel and now I'm watching the whole interview. It is...so bizarre and I don't understand it yet. But Tucker Carlson is tearing a high ranking Republican Senator down...

Not sure what Carlson's end-game is here, especially given his history, but the more right-winger's fight amongst themselves, the more we can slow down Trump's agenda. It's not the first time in recent memory he's gone after a MAGA idiot.

Tucker's feeling left out what with everyone on Faux Noise getting a government job. He figures if he holds Rafael's feet to the fire, he'll get noticed by Trumpy and can have his turn as his Magesty's personal jester.

Ironbite-simple as that.

I have never seen an interview where the interviewer is so inserted. He says what he agrees about and what he disagrees about. Like it is a lunch conversation. Where I am, he just told his interview subject "You're saying in your sleazy, feline way..." Yikes. If I am Ted Cruz I tell this guy to lose my number on his way out.

Edit - Are you going to call me an anti-Semite again or no? This is a question asked by the interviewer.

Tucker is closer to MAGA on this one. Ted Cruz is a Tea Partier who never figured out what he wanted to do besides opposing Obama, so he's morphing into just another basic evangelical Republican. The only noticeable thing he does anymore is struggle in his reelection to get everyone's hopes up and then Texas goes red again after all.
